Lead the development and implementation of overall parts pricing & parts realization strategies for markets representing Volvo and Mack conventional product. This includes overall pricing strategy, development of pricing models and recommendations to senior management for maximizing parts margin. In addition, Director will be responsible for assessing competitive parts pricing and developing strategies that allow for growth of parts business.

Direct the development of parts price realization strategies for the Mack and Volvo conventional parts results in US, Canada and export markets. Develop targets specific to the individual Brand’s financial results, along with consolidated impacts to the Parts Sales and Marketing Business Plan. Ensure product mix strategies meet volume and competitive structure as outlined in the Parts Price Philosophy. Coordinate with Financial Control the development of parts price financial targets
Conduct on-going competitive analysis on key segments to ensure we have clear understanding of parts pricing vs. key truck OEMs and independent parts organizations. Provide feedback to field sales organization to ensure that competitive information can be used to support sales activity
Oversee Parts Dealer Council sub-committees regarding dealer price resale strategies. Develop dealer margin structures and strategies in conjunction with dealer committees. Provide market analysis regarding class 8 manufacturer resale strategies for both vehicle and engine component positioning
Coordinate with GTO for on-going material cost changes and opportunity to improve burden cost based on evaluation of on-going activity requested of GTO organization
Develop and implement systems strategies and activities for the North American Parts Pricing (NAPP) and Vendor Direct Ship (VDSP) applications. Ensure systems align with global systems developments while providing functionality to meet market requirements
Oversee financial decisions on sales and marketing programs including: the introduction of new parts programs, elimination of existing programs, and cross-Brand strategies on common vendor programs
Direct the vendor direct ship and claims administration process for the Mack Brand. Ensure program invoicing is current
Manage the VDSP electronic data interface (EDI) applications strategy for supplier relations. Approve credits for processing under program and policy guidelines
Lead initiatives to provide training and education to Mack and Volvo dealer personnel in areas of price management and product structure usage related to the dealer business system price applications. Ensure information provided through the North American Parts Pricing systems is compatible with the dealer business systems applications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
MBA preferred
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
5 or more years management experience

Knowledge of parts distribution channels and OEM dealer structures
Experience with developing budgets and forecasts
