The role of the Global Supply Chain Collaboration Lead is to act as the catalyst to achieve the following objectives with Diageo’s Global Walmart/Sam’s Club and Military business:
Lead the Walmart/Sam’s & Military Supply Chain Strategy worldwide
Develop and Drive Supply Chain Development agenda with these customers, identifying opportunities, leading cross-functional topics and connecting the Diageo & Customer purpose to achieve savings, efficiencies and profitable sales.
Work closely with sales team to translate customer strategies into broader supply chain strategies that provide a win/win with our customers

Build Supply Chain Customer engagement capabilities
Collaborate with Walmart’s Top 20 Suppliers in its International Collaboration Forum to further understand opportunities and gather best practices.
Accountabilities

Supply Chain Collaboration Strategy leadership for the appointed Customer
Lead the Supply Chain agenda within the formalized Customer cross-functional collaboration Program, focusing on value creation.
Supply Chain Development Project Management
Develop, lead and manage the roll-out of initiatives and projects that contribute to the development of the Supply Chain performance with Walmart/Sam’s and US Military.
Global deployment and implementation of collaboration Roadmap
Work closely with regional and market Supply leaders to embed the collaboration roadmap and deliverables on the markets in scope. Ensure local markets own and drive the Walmart agenda locally. Work with the Military team to drive efficiencies in both US and Overseas supply chain network.
Performance evaluation and monitoringOwn the Customer supply chain performance reporting and monitoring process, Scorecards and key customer metrics, and facilitate analysis and corrective action. Connect to the planning and sales performance to support growth while delivering superior service and customer objectives.

Capabilities and Ways of working
Influence the capability development of market individuals working with the appointed customer by assessing, coaching and improving the business response and ways of working

Qualifications and Experience Required
College Degree, with Master Degree Level in Economics, Supply Chain or equivalent experiences preferred.

Functional background can be mixed, but must have 3-5 years Supply Chain experience and knowledge of Retail / Sales / Key account management / Customer Service functions.

Strong communication and experience of operating at a Leadership level, and direct Customer facing experience is required. Experience in Supply Chain, buying or category management in a leading Consumer Goods Grocer / Retailer is an advantage.

Good balance of Customer management skills, analytic and strategic thinking, and execution and drive to get things done. Outcome driven and focus on “customer driven opportunities”.

Must be a creative leader with proven success in business/supply chain development and comfortable in matrix organizations, able to work with flexible guidelines and able to set own goals and deliverables. Ability to take Supply Chain actions and issues and create solutions that can be translated in commercial opportunities. Ability to listen, translate and drive opportunity is essential. Therefore exceptional communication skills are essential as the role requires working with cross functional teams with Global Markets Great Britain, USA, Latin America, South Africa, and Asia.
