AMD seeks an accomplished marketing strategy and creative leader for developing brand, creative and strategic marketing initiatives in support of the AMD corporate brand, and computing product brands. This role reports to the corporate vice president of Worldwide Marketing, and serves as a member of AMD marketing senior staff. This role is responsible for developing corporate and product brand creative strategy, brand purpose, promise, and story. The successful candidate must be a visionary and experienced marketing professional with a track record of translating insights and inspired thinking into positive brand and business results. Global brand experience and either creative, brand, or strategic marketing team leadership experience required, with demonstrated C-suite engagement and influence. Consumer and commercial technology, PC, or gaming industry experience strongly preferred.

Key Job Functions

Development of creative strategy and brand frameworks

Work closely with Business Groups to create appropriate, timely campaigns and deliverables for various audiences, which includes both end-users as well as commercial, consumer, and channel partners

Develop and implement strategic positioning and messaging platforms, execute marketing plans, and define budgetary parameters.

Develop creative marketing campaigns including major product/technology launches and product promotions in support of business unit and corporate initiatives

Build and execute repeatable global brand measurement model across all business units and product lines

Educate the organization on the adoption of brand standards to build a strong and consistent brand

Conduct and/or coordinate one-to-many presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.

Define campaign objectives, target audiences, strategies, creative deliverables, timeline, and ROI measurement; secure executive and regional support

Drive cross-functional teams to execute key campaign strategies, tactics and deliverables

Drive regular communications to track status and measurement

Create and manage execution of supporting campaign creative materials

Preferred Education and Experience:

10+ years experience in technology marketing

Collaborative and resourceful leader who can set a creative vision, align resources, and lead teams to achieve shared organizational goals and objectives.

Strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and self-prioritize workload

Proven track record in counseling senior management on marketing strategy

Ability to articulate highly technical product information in general terms

Strong direct and cross-functional leadership capabilities

Creative thinker, fast learner and the ability to communicate ideas effectively

Must be versatile with a strong character and a strong team orientation

Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills; rigorous attention to detail and quality

Travel and flexible work schedule required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
