The Amazon.com Inventory Planning & Control (IPC) team is looking for a passionate, results oriented, customer oriented technical leader to lead our efforts in building the next generation of software systems for Selection Economics. The team’s charter is to build systems to optimize and fully automate the retail selection and assortment planning decisions.
Our team tackles some of the most mathematically complex inventory management challenges in the industry today to create intelligent algorithms to improve Amazon's inventory & operational efficiency worldwide. IPC owns Amazon’s global inventory planning systems - we decide and optimize what, when, where, and how much we should buy to meet Amazon’s business goals and to make our customers happy. We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory world-wide.

You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach. You will be responsible for implementing a product vision for IPC-Selection Economics while satisfying scalability, reliability, performance, and budget goals.
