The MTV Research Group is looking for a data-driven and passionate person to lead the Shows & Events Digital Research team. This position will lead a team of analysts to provide data, insights, and recommendations to executives, producers and other key stakeholders. This role will help define KPI’s, benchmarks, and build tools to deliver data and insights to key stakeholders. The Director will use data to better understand and segment audience actions and motivation.

Basic Qualifications
5+ yrs in research and insights
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field; or equivalent experience
Expertise with Omniture, and experience with Parse.ly, and additional social media reporting tools
A skill for distilling complex analytics into clear, actionable insights
A deep understanding of social dynamics and user behavior
A deep understanding of digital news media and timelines, social media platforms and video platforms
Team management experience
Knowledge and experience in SEO and Social Media audience segmentation
Team player with ability to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines
Additional Qualifications
Traffic forecasting
Omniture implementation experience
A gift for telling stories with data
A proven strategist
Ability to multitask and problem solve under deadlines
