The Corporate Marketing Director is responsible for managing a team to provide:
- Customer insights to support pan-BSC offerings and commercial strategies
- Input into strategic planning process, including global trends and competitive intelligence
- Project-based decision support - research and business analytics to structure, inform, and drive critical business decisions at the corporate level and/or within business units and regions
- Marketing excellence - developing and implementing processes, tools, best practices, training and metrics, to improve marketing performance across Boston Scientific

The Director is responsible for helping develop and incubate integrated, pan-BSC marketing capabilities to better enable economic customer partnerships. This role is also responsible for leading and sustaining a "best-in-class" marketing team and driving capability improvements of the global marketing team

Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with corporate strategy and the appropriate division leaders (VPs, GMs, Presidents and other functions), BD and Business Unit teams to design, execute, and interpret a portfolio of market research and strategic projects that will contribute to high impact commercial strategies and impact critical commercial decisions
- Serving as an expert on the methodologies and processes for assessing the marketplace. These may include identifying growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behavior, understanding competitive dynamics and advantage, and measuring market trends.
- Developing, integrating and sustaining enterprise wide marketing capabilities
- Own the content of the Boston Scientific Marketing framework, including toolkit upgrades and comprehensive ongoing training of the global organization
- Supporting the development and training of global marketing professionals in best in class tools and processes.
- Building effective working relationships between division marketing teams and Corporate Accounts, Global Healthcare Solutions, BD & Strategy teams.
- Prioritizing key business needs/projects and proactively identifying new areas to add value.
- Measuring quality and impact of the Marketing strategies, capabilities, tools and processes, including pan-BSC metrics for Digital Marketing, overall marketing objectives, and brand perception
- Leading global economic customer (hospital & provider) insight & value driver assessments
- Leading & driving pan-BSC economic customer insight, value proposition & offering development
- Ensuring that staff are hired, trained, developed/coached, and incented to meet business objectives of the Corporate Marketing team and clients efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate & support strategic-account & payer value-selling efforts

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (Masters, MBA) is preferred
- 7+ years of medical device marketing experience
- 4+ years of management experience required. Must have demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Experience working globally in a virtual & matrix organization, directly across multiple countries/regions, with proven ability to work within areas of cultural difference or consumer sensitivity
- Strong relationship development/collaboration with brand marketing resources, as well as a broad set of other stakeholders across the company
- Development and implementation of structured, practical, fact-based approach to valuation and business plans
- Excellent project management/execution and organizational skills
- Must be highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset and the ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues
- Experience utilizing a broad range of primary qualitative (and quantitative) research techniques, secondary research, and synthesis to uncover economic customer insights
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations
- Domestic and Global travel required
