The Wholesale Credit Project Oversight & Execution Manager is responsible for leading the Wholesale Credit Workstream project plans that support the Wholesale Credit stress testing for Citigroup’s CCAR processes. The Wholesale Credit Project Oversight & Execution Manager reports to the Wholesale Credit Workstream Lead who reports to the Wholesale Credit Executive Sponsor to ensure successful execution and accountability.

The position provides a unique perspective on the management of risk and capital planning at Citi, spanning the Wholesale credit businesses (Institutional Client Group, Commercial and Private Bank), risk management and product areas.

Key Responsibilities include:
Lead the development of project plans for both the Annual (CCAR/DFAST) Submission and the Spring (Mid-Cycle Stress Test) Submission, tying into the central calendar published by the Central CCAR Team, the production cycle timelines and identifying interdependencies across different workstreams and within the Wholesale Credit workstream; coordinate with the sub-workstreams or individual businesses on their deliverables; manage and monitor the calendar and ensure deliverables and timelines are met
Track progress on deliverables, anticipate issues, and escalate concerns to the Workstream Lead, as appropriate; Coordinate weekly stakeholder calls to ensure project timelines are met
Act as the day-to-day point of contact on all workstream-related project-management tasks which include developing presentations, maintaining project plans and progress reporting, completing ad hoc requests from the Central CCAR team and staying on top of weekly requirements
Contribute to and help with the management of the workstream governance including preparing materials for the review and challenge processes and ensuring governance committee meetings are scheduled as needed and properly documented (agenda, meeting minutes, etc.).
Prepare clear, concise and insightful materials on the workstream, remediation efforts and outcomes for Senior Management; Participate in regulatory meetings, as appropriate
Help establish the control environment of the work stream including interfacing with Internal Audit, preparation of control binders, management of SharePoint and Collaborate Sites, and Manager’s Control Assessment, as applicable
Gain a detailed understanding of the workstream content in order to assess progress, identify and anticipate issues, troubleshoot breakdowns, and challenge the status quo to find ways of doing things more efficiently
Understand the inner workings of Citi’s architecture including data, processes, systems / infrastructure and technology
Fill in for the Workstream Lead in their absence on calls or in meetings

Skills/Competencies:
Expertise in CCAR clearly a plus, but if not, sufficient expertise in managing a similar stress testing regime or proven ability to quickly come up to speed in managing a complex financial reporting process of comparable complexity to CCAR/DFAST
10+ years of experience in project management related roles (Ideally Risk Management related) including proven track record of project execution
Subject matter expertise of risk and/or finance areas is a plus (e.g., pre-provision net revenue, credit risk, Basel II and Basel III, VaR, economic capital, stress testing, etc.)
Exceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into "user-friendly" language, and effectively present in text or slide format
Strong project and time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities
Ability to interact credibly with stakeholders in other control functions such as finance, audit, legal and compliance, as well as senior leaders across a large firm.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate root causes and trends
Ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information
Demonstrated leadership and ability to effectively counsel senior management and outside constituents

Qualifications

BA/BSc or higher in business, finance, or a related field
MBA/Master’s degree preferred
