Additionally, this position will:
- Establish strategic partnerships within AIG, including commercial pricing, reserving, science, finance, underwriting, actuarial, marketing, brokers, and IT.
- Leverage those partnerships to bring new insights into Property and Special Risk claims trends, and reciprocate by providing partners detailed information to allow more effective and efficient internal operation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities and develop plans to drive improvement in all areas of the claims and operations process surrounding reporting.
- Recruit, develop, train and retain talent which is multi-disciplined & geographically dispersed.

- Self-sufficient in sourcing of data through tools like SQL, GUIs, or programmatically through desktop robotics, python, or similar packages.
- Data Quality Owner for all global Property and Special Risk claims, including reconciling global databases against each other, reconciliation of claims databases and financial databases, identifying and planning to correct errors and inconsistencies within different systems. Collaboration with global IT groups to ensure proper implementation and governance of claims data is a priority.
- Assist in building requirements, testing, implementing and monitoring outcomes of system changes and their effect on downstream data and systems, including AIG financial reporting systems.
- Problem Solver. Resolve technical challenges through analysis & effective utilization of technical staff, coordination with IT and offshore resources.
- Innovator. Assist in identification, review, investigation, evaluation, & selection of new technologies for current & future business needs, including automation opportunities, robotics, sensors, and IOT applications.

Reporting/Modeling/Access
- Dashboards. Develop, deploy and maintain interactive data discovery dashboards through tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Python, etc.
- Visionary. Monitor & evaluate the efficiency & effectiveness of current reporting delivery methods & procedures, then visualize and present a concept for total global reporting solution, managing consolidation of multiple data sources into a conformed data set, track progress of and defining a comprehensive set of tasks or tactical deliverables to realize a single source of global Property and Special Risk claims reporting.
- Predictive Analytics and Modeling. Enhance current claims reporting and institute predictive analytics models in conjunction with upstream processes and data sources (actuary, underwriting) to predict future losses leading to proactive staffing and reserve development. Addition of ancillary data sources (recovery, subrogation, quality, litigation) to help predict claim outcomes based on dimensions and statistical correlation with historical losses.
- Global CAT Reporting Across LOB's. Lead design, implementation, administration & maintenance of a global CAT reporting system for both Commercial and Consumer lines.
- Actuarial and Reserve Analysis. Work closely with actuarial, finance, and business unit management to develop proactive monitoring and reporting tools for loss reserves and loss incurred's trends across accident, policy and reporting years for deliver to business leaders internal and external to claims.
- Automation. Drive data-based automated claims handling and assist with VBA model monitoring.
- Driving Efficiency. Distill data from multiple data sources to ensure adherence to productivity and headcount standards, proper spans of control and continued improvement in the costs to adjust claim each claim to optimize expense ratio currently without impact to the future.

Position Requirements:
Expert level understanding of MS Office suite, SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlikview and COGNOS, and collaborative tools such as Sharepoint. Statistical modeling experience with tools such as Statistica, Octave, R , or SAS a plus. High level of comfort analyzing massive sets of both structured and unstructured data. Experience with relational databases is a must.
- Excellent presentation skills, including presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences to both communicate results and help influence business unit strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity.
- High sense of ownership and responsibility to ensure work quality and high level of initiative while driving continuous improvements in methods and processes.
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once, to prioritize appropriately, and to produce results under tight time constraints.
- Select, train, motivate, & evaluate assigned staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work w/ employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
- Masters degree in Business, Finance and/or Technology (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
