Do you love cars? Do you love building new and dynamic customer experiences? If you answered “Yes” to both, then this is the role for you. Building upon the recent launches of the enhanced Your Garage and Amazon Vehicles, Amazon is continuing to innovate in the Automotive space. This Director role will lead the vision and creation of a new Automotive customer experience that will change how customers think about car ownership.
We are looking for a Director who is passionate about building new experiences from scratch starting with a blank slate. It’s still Day one for Amazon and you’ll be employee #1 on this initiative.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading the vision and creation of a new Automotive experience that revolutionizes car ownership
- Hiring a team to drive this initiative including Product Management, User Design, and Technical Product Management
- Defining customer journeys and corresponding user experiences
- Developing relationships with new external partners
- Partnering with other internal technical teams to gain support for the initiative
Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years product management experience, preferably in delivering consumer experiences
- 10+ years people management experience, including experience managing managers
- Demonstrated ability to hire and lead high-performing product and technical teams in a high-growth environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels
- Proven success in contract negotiations with external partners/vendors
Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to drive your projects to completion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Strong product and design acumen
