Senior Director Solution Marketing SAP Palo Alto

SAP Ariba is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual serve as the solution marketing lead for its Financial Solutions area. A successful candidate will have excellent strategic marketing skills, particularly in the area of marketing planning, execution and leadership in driving go-to-market strategies, as well as domain expertise in financial software solutions. This role will also utilize program management skills, helping to coordinate the execution of cross-functional marketing programs and team members, as well as serve as a spokesperson for the financial solutions area.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive overall GTM efforts for SAP Ariba’s financial solution, including developing and execute marketing plans.
Work closely with financial solutions commercial team in developing marketing programs to drive awareness, pipeline, etc.
Develop positioning and messaging strategy, as well as specific solution content, naming, etc.
Drive the development of solution marketing collateral, such as sales presentations, data sheets, videos, etc., as well as original thought leadership pieces.
Support audience marketing and other cross-marketing programs, including web, PR, social media and events teams
Participate in both internal and external industry events, as both a speaker and content facilitator.
Manage budget for marketing programs
Coordinate efforts of dedicated Financial Solutions marketing team members
Serve as spokesperson for solution area. Work with industry analysts and leverage social media channels
Drive market research and customer sales cycles as needed

Qualifications

The role demands an individual who is agile and can ramp quickly into an innovation-led, cloud/SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent marketing strategy & communication skills, a self-motivated drive, leadership skills, and the unique ability to deliver fast time-to-market with high quality and flawless execution.

The candidate must have:

5-7+ years’ experience in marketing strategy, product marketing or related marketing roles
Domain expertise in financial software solutions
Proven success developing integrated marketing plans
Track record for driving innovative, creative concepts through to execution
People management skills and ability to lead team members and drive efforts of others across the organization
Ability to think strategically and execute with attention to detail.
Good customer-facing skills and experience
Must be a team player, demonstrated high performer and willingness to take initiative.
Ability to develop effective working relationships across the company, including other marketing teams, sales, product management and business development.
Bachelor's or master’s degree, with degree in business administration, marketing or related fields a plus
