The Director, Below The Line (BTL)/Trade Marketing is responsible for driving sales-centric trade marketing strategies through Retail partners, by working directly with Customer marketing/merchant teams and liaising with head office Marketing. This role will create a strategic approach to arm our retail accounts with best in class modular trade marketing assets (advertising templates, digital templates) as well as in store marketing materials (pop, product messaging, brochures) that delivers a unified message across the market place (retailer advertising and in-store presentation). After deployment shoppers should experience “the party matched the invitation” as marketing materials are paid off in store with a consistency of message and visual brand identity. The role will plan and lead product launch implementation at Retail partners, ensuring brand guidelines are implemented and properly leverage at the account level.

Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Have the ability to write a competent brief to be leveraged by a matrixed environment •Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred •12-15 years of sales experience in consumer products with a strong appreciation of sales and the retail environment; knowledge of or experience in our key retail accounts would be ideal •Supervisory/managerial experience •Excellent sales skills •Strong negotiation skills •Strong presentation skills •Solid coaching skills (team leadership)
