This position is responsible for leading enrollment science across the division under the guidance and direction of the VP of Enrollment Management. Mirroring data science in other industries, this role requires leadership and continuous innovative thinking in the way the division leverages and deploys technology, is responsible for the reporting and predictive analytics across the division, and lastly, and must be able to synthesize these technical concepts and findings into actionable insights that drive strategic change. The role demands that he/she is capable of surveying the landscape in order to identify areas of strategic opportunity as well as ensuring that enrollment management is ahead of its peers both analytically and technologically.

Develop, execute and deploy predictive models that increase the efficiency and directly influence the effectiveness of short/long term enrollment strategies.
Lead the discussion on trends within higher education that pertain to behavioral and demographic shifts in the college-going market as well as new and emerging technologies applicable to enrollment management.
Constantly evaluate how the division can continue to link new technologies and third party relationships with complex analytical techniques in order to drive data-driven operations, decisions and strategic planning. Assume the lead role in developing strategic partnerships with third party vendors.
Ensure that the division’s key systems are always working as designed; resolve any issues that may arise, and collaborate with key stakeholders across the campus to ensure the division’s technical needs are being met.
Provide technical training and support to the division.
Lead the strategic view of implementing new technical systems into current infrastructure.
Develop and present analysis on effectiveness of financial aid policies and strategies.
Responsible for market research of the admission pool to help inform effectiveness of recruitment efforts, identify areas of opportunity and address challenges.
Filter and segment large data sets for ad-hoc reporting and strategic enrollment analysis.
Generate solutions to business problems and divisional strategic goals within Salesforce, Enrollment Management’s CRM tool.
Ensure proper usage and deployment of the technical systems that drive the day-to-day operations within the division. When necessary, identify areas of opportunity where new systems need to be vetted and deployed.
Develop reports and analyses that study and identify emerging trends through the use of advanced statistical techniques and predictive analytics, from a variety of applications and database systems, which often requires “connecting the dots” between numerous internal and external datasets in structured and unstructured formats.
Identify emerging market trends and assess the potential impact on Bentley.
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics or related field required. Master’s degree strongly preferred; 7-10 years of experience in data management and analysis, statistical modeling/machine learning, deployment of predictive analytics; 10+ years of higher education experience required, preferably related to Admission, Financial Aid, Marketing and Enrollment Management.
Skills & Knowledge:
Mastery of multiple statistical software packages (i.e. R, SPSS, Tableau);
Proven track record of applying statistical techniques;
Understanding of database management /structure especially that of an SIS or data warehouse;
Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines;
Effectively communicate and present complex ideas to technical and non-technical staff in different formats;
Prior experience and knowledge of a student ERP as well as the use of Salesforce in an Enrollment Management context;
Ability to manage technical teams and projects.
Software Knowledge:
SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau, Cognos, Qualtrics, SQL, Arcview GIS, MS Office, VBA-programming, Python (or other scripting languages).
