The Director, Worldwide Server Sales-Out will drive end user sales pull for AMD server and storage platforms in tight collaboration with regional sales teams. He/she will be responsible for establishing the AMD sales-out strategy, partnerships and market approach and, within the next 24 months, will hire and build a global server sales team of approximately 40 professionals.

• Identify customer challenges and translate these challenges into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions

• Develop cross-division partnerships to establish synergistic solutions for larger OEMs
• Ensure close collaboration with cross-matrix technical teams to value propositions are consistent and aligned
Within the 3 – 6 months, the Director, Worldwide Server Sales-Out will:
• Begin to contribute to strategic decisions for the Worldwide Server Sales organization
• Identify key customers/OEMs, priorities and focus
• Assess the market and develop an organizational structure and game plan for the department
• Gain trust and confidence of the leadership team
• Engage with cross-matrix peers to identify/build synergistic approach to leverage AMD products in key verticals
Within the first 12 months, the Director, Worldwide Server Sales-Out will:
• Build a strong and credible Worldwide Server Sales-Out organization
• Ensure the organization is aligned and is executing the product strategy and vision set out for this team
• Demonstrate sales wins and significant “pull” with key customers/OEMS such that customers in target verticals are advocating AMD products back into OEMS
The Person
The Director, Worldwide Server Sales-Out must have the following experience:
• Leadership Experience: at least 7 years’ experience in a comparable roles, building and leading a global team of at least 30 sales professionals in geographically dispersed locations including international sites
• Technical Experience: an established background in server and/or CPU sales with at least 10 years’ progressive experience selling server, storage and/or datacenter technologies
• Customer/OEM Experience: strong historical interaction and relationships with key customers and OEMs (i.e. Dell, HP, Lenovo)
• Organizational Experience: demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix organization

Education
Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required.
Compensation
A detailed and compelling compensation package will be offered which includes a base salary, annual incentive plan (target bonus) and RSU ownership.
