The primary function of this profile is to provide architectural and technology leadership, oversight, recommendations and transition strategies that support the development and implementation of initiatives based on standard delivery practices, service based architecture, and agility, for clients complex multiple portfolios or domains. These domains are Application Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Data/Integration Architecture, Strategy and Governance, and Information Security. In addition, this position is responsible for being the strategic and technical leader behind line of business and/or enterprise project and programs. This position will include management of Architecture and Technology Acceleration Staff.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with other Lead Enterprise Architects responsible for other architecture domains (Application, Infrastructure, Data/Integration and Information Security) and stakeholders (senior executive management, IS management, IS peers, and leaders of lines of business) on technology strategy and enterprise architecture.
Research, analyze, determine capabilities and propose technology solution alternatives that address specific business needs and product/service strategies across lines of business. Define the strategy and process for solutions and roadmaps, while providing leadership and oversight over architectural recommendations.
Assess and build the Enterprise Architecture and Technology Acceleration teams, define roles and responsibilities, influence and shape outlook and attitudes. Evaluate organizational structure and determine competency gaps, core strengths and plan for optimization and/or augmentation.
Serve as an industry or technology expert, providing strategy oversight and planning for enterprise architecture functions. Create a 3-5 year enterprise technology vision and strategy for architecture and infrastructure, and shared competency centers of excellence.
Lead technology investment planning, architecture governance and software/hardware partner management. Provides strategic leadership in identifying new concepts, ideas, techniques, and technology assistance (best practices, guidelines and design patterns for supported technologies).

Skills, Competencies, Experience
Required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
Preferred Masters or post-graduate education in computer science or related fields
TOGAF (or other enterprise architecture) certification
Experience in providing enterprise architecture direction and leading a team of architects through large scale and/or enterprise-wide initiatives
Minimum 3-5 years in insurance specific architectures (preferably Personal Insurance knowledge around Customer Portal, Policy admin)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in people, product and/or project management and SDLC
Experience in leading enterprise architects and working with stakeholders in matrixed organization.
Must have experience in multiple technologies and architectures.
Experience in Enterprise Application Lifecycle Management using EA Tools such as Troux, Mega, Alfabet, etc. to ensure application alignment with business capabilities, technology stack, integration patterns, infrastructure and data sources.
