This position leads the development of paid, owned and earned digital marketing strategies in support of multiple programming brands including Sports and Original Series. This role is a leader within the digital and social media team and acts as the primary senior contact for digital and social media content and campaigns.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the digital strategy and communication development process for multiple programming brands throughout the year, requires strong cross-discipline collaboration
Oversee the development of creative and promotions briefs with outside agencies and/or internal teams
Lead the development of digital (social, mobile, global) promotions and experiences from concept to execution ensuring the highest quality delivery regardless of medium or platform (micro-content, sites, apps)
Act as primary point of contact to Programming and Show executives for the Digital & Social Media team
Partner with show creative and talent to develop digital content extensions to the linear programming
Oversee the output of all content on owned channels including existing social media profiles plus approaches for emerging media
Lead influencer marketing and digital word or mouth initiatives including evergreen strategy development and promotional activations
Develop audience building and content engagement strategies using performance media and paid, owned, earned strategies
Work with the Research team to develop and track KPIs
Optimize campaigns and strategy based on data-driven insights
Develop and manage partnerships with key platform partners in the social TV space
Work with the digital product team to integrate best practices into upcoming product releases
Stay on top of changing digital behaviors and trends and provide on-going creative and strategic inspiration to the team and assigned brands
Act as digital/social media evangelist across the company, leading education initiatives where necessary
Oversee and mentor the development of a highly performing team

REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years experience in digital marketing for a Sports, Media or Lifestyle brand
Strong leadership skills including internal and external management
Established social media background including driving strategy for a major brand
Strong digital production experience including management of enterprise-scale websites and mobile applications
Command of performance media including ability to allocate budgets, drive creative strategy and optimize as necessary – lead Paid, Owned, Earned efforts
Experience overseeing digital word of mouth campaigns and leading content syndication efforts
Strategic thinker with creative problem solving and impeccable, persuasive writing skills
Proven marketing skills in all facets of brand/audience development
Superior project management skills
Excellent presentation skills, both written (PowerPoint, Excel, Word fluency a must) and verbal
Exceptional communication and relationship management skills - deep cross-functional collaboration is required
Strong command of web and social analytics including Omniture
Experience covering live events in an editorial or social media capacity
Must be hyper-enthusiastic about ever-evolving social media trends and the digital landscape
Must be extremely passionate about Sports and Entertainment programming
Some travel and nights/weekend hours required
