• Directs a team of Product Development Program Managers responsible for worldwide management and execution of cross –functional programs throughout the product/solution lifecycle using the Phase Review Process (PrP).
• Leads coordination of definition, planning and execution of programs/solutions across global development centers and multiple LOBs.

• Collaborates with LOB VP/GM and peer functional leaders, comprehending complex business factors to develop and implement strategic plans and business objectives.
• Develops departmental strategies and processes that support the assigned LOB strategies/objectives.
• Identifies and implements process improvements.
• Governs program execution on behalf of the LOB VP/GM. In some cases, the Program Management Manager interacts with BU sales organizations and customers to communicate organizational information, strategies, capabilities etc. to aide business acquisition and development activities.
• In some cases, the Program Management Manager directs the work of indirect functional contributors in the definition and execution of strategies, objectives and/or programs.
Principal Accountabilities
• Responsible for processes that manage products/solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Dell new product development and lifecycle management process SME for the assigned LOB.
• Dell process and program execution governance.
• Collaborates on LOB strategies, objectives, organizational design and transformation.
• Collaborates in key roadmap decisions & drives resource sizing.
• Decision owner for phase exit go/no-go. Ensures proper cross-functional approvals are obtained.
• Maintains processes/tools for reporting program status.
• Maintains processes/tools for archiving auditable program documents.
• Responsible for LOB ISO compliance.
• Where applicable, ensures Program Managers and Project Managers are effectively collaborating with Sales and customers on customer- facing programs and executing to customer expectations.
• Drives decision making process for critical product holds/stop ships.
• Key member of LOB VP/GM’s staff.
• Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.
• Responsible for hiring, staffing and development of a diverse and effective workforce.
• Receives and acts upon escalations from Program Managers and other core team members.
• Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.
• Leads resolution of complex cross functional escalations.
