HBO is looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite) DBA. The candidate is part of a team responsible for the overall management and maintenance of Oracle Applications R12 (12.1, 12.2) and Fusion Middleware 11g components. Responsibilities includes performing DBA support functions for multiple environments and partnering with technical and business groups. The candidate should have strong UNIX shell scripting skills, and excellent communication, organizational and critical thinking skills. This position is based in the New York Metro area.

Provide excellent support to investigate and troubleshoot production issues related with Oracle Applications, Oracle database and Oracle Fusion Middleware
Support developers for custom coding, code migration, workflow and concurrent requests
Provide Oracle Application systems administration including management and maintenance. Some examples are assigning printers, configuring and monitoring concurrent managers, scheduling jobs, setting up profile options and administration of Oracle workflow
Perform upgrades, patching, performance tuning and cloning/patching of Oracle Applications
Support Oracle OBIEE, Identity and Access Management environments
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of Oracle Applications experience
Extensive experience with Oracle Applications R12.1 and R12.2 configuration, patching, upgrades, cloning, maintenance, troubleshooting and support
Worked with high availability setups (including load balancing and Oracle Data Guard)
Expert knowledge of 11g and 12c Database Administration
Knowledge of system administration functionality within Oracle Applications
Knowledge of Oracle 11g Identity Management, Access Manager and WebLogic Server
Knowledge of OBIEE and Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c
Strong shell scripting skills
Capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines
Self-motivated with strong team orientation and the ability to learn quickly
Good interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
A BS or higher in Computer Science or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Worked with a change control tool like Quest Stat
Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools like Tidal
