Apple is seeking an exceptional Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Manager responsible for driving Apple’s ongoing PKI strategy, managing PKI projects, and managing Certification Authority (CA) software configurations.

solid command of basic PKI concepts
significant experience using CA software to create and manage PKI’s
experience designing and implementing solutions with PKI
experience operating a Certification Authority (CA) within a WebTrust-compliant control environment
ability to use OpenSSL or other utilities to create and analyze certificates, CRL’s, and OCSP responses
strong project management, communication and organization skills
ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines
Description
The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated with a passion for excellence, quality and detail. A healthy security conscience and exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills are imperative. The PKI team is responsible for the following: - design and implement CA hierarchies and certificate profiles to fulfill project requirements - provide architectural and implementation guidance to teams utilizing digital certificates, cryptographic keys, or other cryptographic technologies - successfully communicate project status and important issues to management and other stake-holders - provide training and technical guidance to stake-holders on PKI processes and procedures and the proper use of CA software - manage and implement CA software settings and configurations - identify and document requirements for CA software enhancements - define and execute key management and key signing ceremonies - develop strategies and tools to track and address certificate lifecycle management requirements for dozens of CA’s and hundreds of PKI projects - create best practices guides to help teams implement PKI correctly
Education
Prefers a BS in information systems, computer science or related field or equivalent experience/skills.
