• The Senior Project Manager will manage multiple projects within a network development and operations environment
• Responsible for process flow development and design and for on-time execution of the overall projects
• Duties include project planning, resource assignment, risk assessment and mitigation, and managing all phases of projects including requirements analysis, design, test, deployment and launch
• The successful candidate will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are properly tracked throughout the project lifecycle, including all required reporting and escalation as needed
• Ensure project specific contract obligations and deliverables are completed in accordance with the project schedule and contract
• Ensure projects are properly planned and aligned with cross functional groups
• Liaise with internal groups, partners and customers to ensure all parties are aligned on project deliverables, obligations, dependencies and timelines.
• Identify project performance variances and create corrective action plans
• The successful candidate will have knowledge of wireless telecommunications networks, network OSS/BSS systems and functions and an understanding across wireless and/or communication business functions: marketing, business, network, IT, Operations.
Requirements:
• Experience with managing complex projects
• Experience with interfacing with Product Management, engineering, architecture and operations teams within a communication provider or wireless service/network provider
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with pulling together detailed project reports and managing risks, issues and dependencies
• Ability to work within a fluid and fast paced environment with tight timelines
Education and Work Experience:
• BA/BS degree required (MS preferred)
• PMI/PMP certification or equivalent experience required
• 10+ years overall work experience
• 5+ years of technical project management experience with telecom networks, including wireless (LTE, 3G)
• Big 4 experience or consulting experience would be ideal
