Product Marketing Manager BlackBerry San Mateo

We are seeking a genuine and highly motivated Product Marketing Manager who will play a critical role in developing our go-to-market strategy, and driving demand for our products and services. This individual will be a critical contributor and work cross-functionally with multiple functions:
Watch: Career Advice
Marketing: Highlight the correct positioning, differentiators, and values in our key marketing materials – e.g., website, press releases, white papers, tradeshows, webinars
Sales: Collaborate with leadership to enable their teams to be successful by providing training sessions, as well as help formulate operating mechanisms, metrics and tools to drive efficiencies and scale
Product Management: Outline future requirements, and understand how current releases impact our value propositions and benefits to our customers
The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of thinking strategically, systematically breaking down a problem into actionable components, working at both a strategic and tactical level, and having the EQ to work with many different personality types.
Responsibilities:
Market and competitive analysis: Identify key market dynamics in each of our target geographies that will impact our go-to-market strategy, as well as understand the differentiators vis-à-vis our key global competitors
Customer analysis: Define customer segments backed by qualitative interviews and quantitative data coming from system usage and primary/third party research.
Sales enablement: Empower sales and marketing teams with compelling presentations, training sessions, and materials that tell our go-to-market strategy and durable advantages.
Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product management teams to achieve our stated business goals
Marketing materials: Create and evangelize our products and services by developing our value prop and positioning that feeds into our materials that including, but not limited to, presentations, data sheets, case studies, tradeshows, and white papers
Qualifications
Minimum of 4-6 years of product marketing experience with 1-2yrs of business consulting from McKinsey, BCG, Bain
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
Proven organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communications to effectively influence individuals and groups
Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
Ability to synthesize vast amounts of data into concise business drivers for senior stakeholders
Creative problem solver and entrepreneurial – comfortable to do field research, cold calling, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – e.g., PowerPoint, Excel
