The Partner Learning & Development Specialist (PLDS) owns and drives the enablement of managed and un-managed partners through sales, business, marketing, and technical training and accreditations across priority Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) cloud competencies.
Watch: Career Advice This talented learning and development specialist is the single point of accountability for the planning, development, and execution of partner capability development plans. He/she orchestrates resource alignment and support from key Microsoft stakeholder sales and marketing teams (e.g., Partner Technical Specialists, Partner Channel Development Managers, PCMM roles). The outcome of such activities is the achievement of Microsoft business goals and readiness targets as measured by the Technical Enablement Transformational Leading Indicators (TLI) metric, and ensuring a skilled and capable partner channel is in place to drive Microsoft share and revenue growth objectives.
PLDS lead v-teams to ensure there is a unified strategy for partner capability development and appropriate prioritization of initiatives and resources throughout the fiscal year. The PLDS is responsible for landing partner capability development activities through use of the MPN Learning Management System (MLX platform), customizable Learning Paths, and related tools. These solutions for partners include, but are not limited to the 1:Many scale of PTS aligned in-person/online training events and the 1:thousands scale of digital (e.g. MOOCs, webcasts, etc) and online communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build verifiable MPN partner cloud capability at scale by providing targeted sales, technical and business learning solutions and resources to enable partner practices and individuals.
• Develop Execution Approach: define strategy to ensure area can meet capacity pipeline and Technical Enablement TLI with the right mix of skills across sales, business, and technical, in alignment with PTS/PCDM (MPL CA/SMB)
• Enablement Plan Design: Design comprehensive & accessible sales, mktg, & technical training plans to ensure that the right partners are engaged and develop Microsoft cloud services practices. The PLDS is fully accountable for the cloud readiness plans for all MPL partners in the subsidiary
• Deliver Learning Solutions (execution): Validate, refine, execute partner enablement plan that builds partner practices and individuals
• Measure & Optimize: employ learning & BI to drive/optimize performance against plan, resulting in the acceleration of skilled and capable partners
• Cross Stakeholder Alignment and Learning & Development Expertise: Align all-up readiness approach with PTS leads (MPL CA)/PCDM leads (MPL SMB), based on understanding of partner needs and requirements. Leverages MCTs, GBS/PTC, and digital/online engines & communities scale partner focused training to unmanaged partners
Experiences Required:
• Adult Professional Learning (including technical skilling) and/or solid knowledge of channel (including IT industry trends and local partner ecosystem)
• Able to strike the proper balance between strategy and execution
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5-8 years related experience
