Apple’s new Spotlight Suggestions service provides fast, relevant search results from the Internet in Spotlight and Safari on iOS and OS X. The Spotlight Suggestions service is built on a massive amount of data crawled from the Internet, sourced from feeds and generated from user interactions with search results. As a member of the search team, you’d be responsible for building features & infrastructure for upcoming releases of the service.

Description
The Siri Search team is looking for big-data analysts who have experience in interpreting both structured and unstructured data. Analysts are expected to research and develop KPI’s, synthesize and interpret metrics, perform both recurring and ad hoc analyses, and be able to clearly present findings to upper management. The role requires strong background in statistics and analysis, and a strong familiarity with some of the following languages/frameworks: Python, Java, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
Education
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
