The Strategic Recruiting Team (SRT) at Amazon serves to recruit top level senior talent in
design and applied research globally at Amazon. The SRT is deeply specialized in order to
provide a high-touch experience for these small talent pools, which are historically challenging
to recruit. The global SRT at Amazon builds and develops relationships with leaders in talent
areas that will have long-term impact on the company.

The SRT is building a team of Market
Intelligence leaders who will drive long-term prospecting across multiple domain disciplines.
The Strategic Recruiter will conduct market research and competitive analysis on strategically
important domain spaces to support search execution for positions within Amazon. This is a
fast paced role with a fun and exciting team. This search specialist will utilize a range of skills
to find the best talent for Amazon including search research, market analysis and networking.
This role will drive search navigation and influence candidate and client experience by:
Building out talent networks in certain functions/industries and tapping knowledgeable
industry sources to develop an initial pool of candidates
• Engaging passive candidates to further Amazon’s understanding of their interests and
career trajectories; Recommending appropriate groups for candidates to explore; and
Enhancing Amazon’s understanding of candidate’s employers.
• Participating in global conferences and workshops as an ambassador for Amazon’s
brand in key talent areas
• Working with SRT practice leaders and program management team to create robust
long-term talent acquisition and retention strategies that will build communities of the
best and brightest
• Develop strategic white papers to influence Amazon’s approach to key talent
• Providing strategic guidance and calibrating candidates with hiring managers
• Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group by providing education
on industries and talent pools/profiles
• Ensuring an excellent candidate experience through prompt follow up and
communication with executive candidates throughout the candidate’s lifecycle from
initial contact to start date
• Entering and tracking candidate information in Amazon database and ensuring a high
standard of data integrity
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate needs exceptional research and analytical skills, and a mindset that can keep up with an entrepreneurial, fast paced talent culture. He/she will be someone who can work autonomously and as part of a team, who is articulate with solid oral and written communication skills, and who is a good listener. He/she must also be organized and able to
manage multiple activities to completion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


You will need to exhibit the following traits:
• Possess the ability to multitask, prioritize and complete a high volume of tasks and
projects with little to no guidance
• Have exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to switch
gears at a moment’s notice
• Demonstrate excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with high
profile executives and confidential information
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside
and outside the company
• Highly articulate, able to convey complex arguments and engage with senior level
executives in a polished and professional manner
• Combine tenacity with tact; know when to apply more pressure and when to give in
• Self-assured, not easily thrown, able to think on your feet
