Enterprise Pre Sales Channel VAR Manager Apple Santa Clara

The Enterprise Pre-Sales Channel/VAR Manager role will lead the Pre-Sales resources focused on Apple’s partnerships and enablement within the reseller channel reporting to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Pre-Sales Business Development. The primary focus of this team is enabling, training, assisting, and championing transformative Apple solutions through the reseller channel.

This requires a deep understanding of how the reseller channel operates, what motivates them and how to manage the technical conversation every level of the channel. The candidate will need to formulate an effective plan with their teams that covers the definition of short and long term success. In a collaborative fashion, develop an approach to communication and engagement activities for internal and external partnership stakeholders that addresses program design, development and execution. The ideal candidate is a versatile, detail orientated, and self-structured leader with an ability to manage and leverage internal/external relationships at all levels. Experience in leading and influencing multiple teams (both direct and non-direct reports) to a common goal is critical. Ability to thrive in a rapid paced environment and a culture that relies on teamwork while constantly soliciting feedback.

Key Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of business development and Pre-Sales leadership experience selling solutions for hardware and/or software products
Must have enterprise and/or mid-market sales experience
Experience building reseller sales and engineering resources and deep knowledge of the channel selling processes
Strong experience partnering with leading technology solutions providers
Exceptional relationship building skills and ability to work with virtual teams across internal groups at Apple; as well as teams within partner organizations at all levels
A strong and respected leader of people
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and industry knowledge
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA or equivalent preferred
Frequent travel required

Take a highly collaborative internal/external approach to business planning and execution Lead the effort of gaining pre-sales technical scale throughout the reseller channel and ensure the strategy is effectively communicated out to Apple’s field Pre-Sales and Sales organizations Proactively collaborate with reseller engineering management and executive team to create readiness programs and service deliverables Drive an effective enablement strategy that drives scale for Apple’s initiatives in the ecosystem Promote a culture of strong cross-functional collaboration with key internal groups within Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Business Development teams, etc. to ensure that Pre-Sales is effectively gaining scale through the reseller channel and supporting the Enterprise business Build a deep understanding of Apple’s unique value proposition by vertical Prioritize an ongoing commitment to Apple’s professional and ethical standards
