The Enterprise Strategy Architect Manager leads a team of Digital Architects (DAs) for supporting the US Department of Defense, whose mission is to provide industry-proven business and architectural advice and governance, combined with technology expertise from Microsoft’s worldwide network, to accelerate the definition, delivery and adoption of outcome-based solutions that help clients achieve their strategic objectives. Digital Architect Managers hire, develop, coach and mentor DAs, setting a clear bar for excellence, and manage daily team operations.

They are engaged in developing and driving the market for the enterprise strategy through managing the day-to-day interactions with clients and sponsors across Microsoft teams and stakeholders locally, and take a leading role in customer portfolio governance. They are connected to numerous parts of the Microsoft ecosystem, starting with the Enterprise Strategy and Microsoft Consulting Services networks. They organize and lead sales pursuits, directly or in supporting capacity, provide leadership support for sales & engagement delivery teams, and contribute and drive adoption of good practices across our worldwide practices.

As a Digital Architect Manager, your activities will mainly consist of the following:
People Management
- Resource & capacity planning for the Digital Architects (DAs) within reporting line
- Driving onboarding and ongoing training of DAs
- Performance and Career development for DAs

Sales Management
- Account Plan creation with sales teams, identification of target accounts, regular review of opportunities
- Sales motion and value proposition, driving sales to penetrate Microsoft major and global accounts
- Preparation of DAs for effective pre-sales with new customers, coach and drive opportunity development
- Plan and execute engagement renewals

Delivery Excellence
- Effective practice leadership, showing executive maturity and building a high performing team
- Driving delivery of quality customer deliverables, including work orders and various status reports
- Customer satisfaction tracking, ensuring initial customer expectations and conditions of satisfaction are set/met

Operations Management
- Cross-team orchestration and collaboration, including Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Product Groups
- Practice operations management, incl. utilization, bench size, profitability, people metrics, expenses…
- Ensuring team and district, subsidiary or area achieves Enterprise Strategy goals by tracking and driving KPIs such as sales, renewals, hiring, customer satisfaction

Qualifications:
The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a varied set of skills and experience to address all of its dimensions:

-20+ years of professional experience, of which at least 8 year’s related IT consulting and/or Business experience and 5 year’s direct people management experience
-5 years DoD experience and knowledge of operations
-DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance following a background check.
-Broad experience and understanding of the technology industry and some other industries (e.g. banking, public service), acquired in a consulting role and/or managing technology-enabled business change or related activities
-Solid understanding of Business and IT strategy and principled approach to broad architectural challenges and opportunities
-Ability to run sales and people operations in a reliable manner, from account planning and engagement sales, through delivery to customer satisfaction and renewal, with an inflexible focus on quality and continuous improvement
-Significant experience in people management and proven talent for team leadership, driving teams for performance and growth through customer satisfaction
-Strong organizational skills, ability to manage resources and orchestrate multi-organizational physical and virtual resources and initiatives
-Solid understanding of Microsoft’s key solutions and services such as Azure, Cloud, Platform & Productivity, Business Analytics, Devices & Mobility
-Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to mesh well with customer decision makers, by being a good listener, a team builder and an articulate advocate of
Microsoft’s vision and value proposition
