Compensation Design Analyst Google Mountain View

As a Compensation Design Analyst, you will use your analytical skills to ensure that we attract and retain the world’s best talent by maximizing the value of our compensation spend. This will require you to think big - designing innovative programs that support our philosophy, while championing strong governance. You will work on salary, bonus and equity compensation design, reviewing data and developing models to create our algorithms, budgets and policies.

Responsibilities
Manipulate and analyze large data sets to distill insights and convey findings.
Review compensation guidelines, practices and policies based on principles and relevant data (e.g., market data, employee feedback).
Collaborate with Finance, HR and leadership to develop and roll out compensation changes.
Play a governance role in the creation, negotiation, and review of compensation policies and processes.
Work on special projects such as competitive market analyses, design experiments, probability modeling and equity granting processes.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in economics, psychology, statistics, business administration or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in analytical HR role, investment banking, management consulting (e.g., strategy, compensation) or similar analytical role.

Preferred qualifications:
Corporate finance or statistics knowledge.
Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with other statistical packages.
Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
