In this role, you would be responsible for:
Interfacing with both the generalists and specialists in our partner ecosystem and the Microsoft field teams (including services, product engineering and other pre-sales roles) focused on consumption of the Azure platform in high potential accounts
Working with Microsoft account teams of the high potential accounts and agree on the priority partners that need to be engaged in each of these accounts
Driving partner-led Azure consumption in the high-potential accounts that will include the below:
o Executing quick technical feasibility and proposal development for moving identified workloads to Azure (i.e. quick and dirty, comfortable with 80-20 rule)
o Building a technical and security architecture in Azure for the selected apps/workloads
o Lead compliance assessments and application portfolio assessment with the customer on designed Azure architecture
o Selecting a migration approach to lift and shift the workloads to Azure or architecting a greenfield development and/or production platform for new applications
o Executing limited POCs, if necessary
o Reporting to customer as business objectives / business value conditions are met
o Ensuring plan execution and Azure consumption targets are met
Documenting and sharing technical best practices / insights with engineering and the architect community
CSA Requirements:
• Approximately 5+ years of management and success in consultative / complex sales processes (where necessary, managing various stakeholders (Primary: TDM, Secondary: BDM) relationships to get consensus on solution / projects
• Approximately 5+ years of architecting & consulting experience in the context of a services organization such as large system integrators
• Approximately 5+ year’s design and/or implementation and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
• Approximately 2+ years’ experience in “migrating” on premise workloads to the public cloud / hybrid cloud
• Experience in defining TCO / ROI models for public cloud movement
• Deep experience in AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with programming experience in one or more of the following areas: • .NET, • C++, • Java, • PHP, • Perl, • Python, • Ruby on Rails, • Pig/Hive
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure components: Ø Software design or development, Ø Systems Operations / Management, Ø Database architecture, Ø Virtualization, Ø IP Networking, Ø Storage, Ø IT Security
• Technical prowess and passion-especially for Windows Azure, modern Application design practices and principles.
• Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
