Shopper Insights Director Sam's Club PepsiCo Rogers

The Director of Insights & Category Management, Sam's Club will lead the Snacks and Foods Insights Team for the PepsiCo Sam’s Club business. The primary objectives of this role are to drive accelerated growth, market share gains and elevated customer partnerships. This individual will be accountable for uncovering and translating actionable, competitively advantaged insights into strategic and tactical recommendations. They must demonstrate the ability to become a trusted advisor and thought leader to senior executives on the customer sales team, in the business units and with the customer. This position leads a team of 2 category managers and will report directly to the PepsiCo VP of Strategy & Insights.
Key Accountabilities:

People & Thought Leadership:
Frame and re-frame business questions from executive and peer stakeholders to ensure alignment of the key problems to solve
Develop a robust learning agenda against the key business problems to solve
Must be persistent and persuasive in driving recommendations to action across functions in a matrix environment
Manage, coach and develop (2) category managers
Promote and foster a learning culture by monitoring consumer, category and competitive trends and leveraging key learnings to set direction for future strategies and plans
Technical & Analytical:
Collaborate with Sales & Shopper Marketing to drive the development of strategic big bets and annual business plans that meet both PepsiCo and Sam’s Club objectives
Support business unit club channel strategy initiatives as the expert on the Sam’s Club member and the transformational business needs
Collaborate with Business Performance team and direct reports to develop, maintain and communicate performance results and implications via reporting and tracking tools
Assess and leverage new ways to visualize data in order to identify, measure and quantify trends and opportunities
Implement project management skills to ensure execution of customer-driven deliverables, including communication and alignment with key stakeholders at each stage of the project
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA Preferred
8-10 years of broad CPG, Strategy, Shopper Insight, and Category Management experience
Disruptive and innovative thinker with a high level of intellectual curiosity
Proven collaboration and influence skills in a cross-functional, matrix environment
Exceptional communicator through both written and verbal forms – Ability to tell a story, synthesize and convey key messages and present in a visual and compelling way
High proficiency in industry and customer data sets (eg. IRI, Retail Link) as well as Excel and advanced data management tools
Proven dexterity with complex data
Highly experienced in multiple forms of insights/research (Syndicated, Primary, Secondary)
Must be willing and able to travel 15% of the time
Must be authorized to work in the United States
