The Health Technology Team conceives and proves out exciting new technology for Apple’s future products and features. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technician to join a cross-functional team to help drive feasibility of health, wellness, and fitness sensors, systems, and applications.
Relevant industry experience as a technician in biomedical engineering, hardware engineering, or equivalent
Previous experience with sensor technologies, esp. sensors, devices, and/or applications related to medical, health, wellness, or fitness
Thorough grasp of bench-level measurements and principles for system/component characterization and performance analysis
Broad suite of laboratory capabilities, including operation and maintenance of assembly tools and instrumentation as well as laboratory management (e.g., lab layout, inventory, safety, security)
Ability to provide quantified analysis and document results
Management and coordination of multiple deadlines across cross-functional teams
Relevant experience in custom prototype/fixture design, build, validation, characterization, and troubleshooting such as experience in any of the following:
Schematic authoring, PCB layout, and fabrication
Mechanical design (e.g., CAD)
Signal characterization/analysis (e.g., MATLAB, JMP, Excel)
Script automation (e.g., Python, LabView, C)

Support prototype development and build, incl. assembly and test Assist in bench-level studies using prototype HW/SW, including measurement, data analysis, and troubleshooting Provide summary documentation of results to inform development direction, specification limits, and algorithm performance
Education
Degree: B.S. (preferred) Field of Study: Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
