Amazon is looking for a big thinking leader of the Marketplace Seller Pipeline program worldwide. Amazon Marketplace was launched in 2003 and has grown to over 2MM sellers selling in 11 Marketplaces to over half of Amazon’s orders. The Marketplace in many countries has expanded to include a variety of programs and Selling Products including Selling on Amazon, Amazon Business, Global Export, Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Clicks. Amazon Marketplace is a high-visibility team within Amazon that is building earth’s most customer centric marketplace.
In this role, you and a talented group of Product Managers and Marketing Managers will drive Selection and Seller Acquisition and grow global Seller lifetime value through inventing product and programs that drive product availability to make Amazon first choice for product searches, increase the seller population, overall seller account value, and seller retention.
You will build programs that identify potential Sellers to recruit, delight new sellers from welcoming them on day one, and helping them discover and use all of their benefits to membership renewal. This includes managing the portfolio of Sellers across the overall seller pipeline population from potential & existing sellers within categories, countries, and product adoption.
You will lead invention and optimizing existing technology, policy and processes to engage, retain, and delight sellers . You will analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies and business plans to grow Seller accounts. Finally, you will drive seller engagement by defining business goals, prioritizing product initiatives and executing marketing programs to deliver results.
As a senior business owner for the organization, you will plan and conduct regular business reviews with Amazon’s Executive Leadership. This is a cross-functional role and requires a high level of synergy, and influence with most businesses at Amazon including Retail, Fulfillment by Amazon, Seller Sales teams, Marketplace, Global Selling, Amazon Lending. The role is global in scope and includes working with technology teams company wide along with Marketplace country leaders and teams.
The key strategic objectives for this role include:
1. Build and execute on a strategy for Selection Acquisition through sales teams and automated systems including prioritization models for selection gaps, high value selection, and global selection availability.
2. Analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies and business plans to grow Seller pipeline value, account size, and contribution profit. · Identify high value Seller and selection segments to drive product penetration, new Seller recruitment targeting and Selling Coach automation to grow Seller lifetime value
3. Lead Technology teams to measure Competitive Selection Parity, optimize Seller Recruitment and Growth automation platforms to increase new seller value, drive seller engagement and retention · Plan and conduct regular business reviews with global stakeholders and Amazon’s Executive Leadership
4. This leader will invent, innovate and develop new CRM products and work with Sales Pipeline teams to drive Sales Operations performance strategy, budget and execution.
5. Own the vision for Seller lifecycle value of all Sellers on the Marketplace, all the way from seller acquisition targeting, Seller’s first order and developing each Seller segment to grow their account value.
6. Lead the identification of gaps in critical systems and , identify solutions and develop proposals to build key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall business performance and provide the foundational insights for continuous business improvement.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics or equivalent.
8+ years’ experience hiring and developing world-class, international, multi-functional teams of 20+, including leaders of leaders. ·
15+ years’ experience in sales leadership, product management and/or general business management including experience with P&L responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.
Experience of growing B2C Marketplace businesses,Account Management, and Sales ·
Successful experience in hiring, people development, and managing large multi-level teams
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels
Ability to motivate, build rapport and communicate effectively with all employees.
Success defining and delivering innovative big ideas to drive long term business results.
Ability to think and move quickly and inspire his/her team in an environment where continuous innovation is desired.
Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
