Prudential Retirement is seeking a Director of Information Technology with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technology products and solutions in financial services or similar regulated industries. The person filling this role will be responsible for providing strategic thought leadership, strong talent management and measurable, defined results in the area of digital, mobile, web, integration services and business process automation capabilities.
This role encompasses delivery of products and services in a variety of technology platforms that deliver customer value and business outcomes for multiple lines of business within Retirement group as well as the Prudential enterprise organization.
The Director will perform above and beyond the following duties:
Deliver on the committed product roadmaps with high-class quality and optimal cost point
Partner with business and product owners to contribute to a business as well as technology roadmap including the ownership of all or portion of the roadmap delivery
Leverage relationships with other leaders within and outside the Technology organization to develop working processes to delivery efficiently and effectively
Collaborate with engineering leaders across the business and enterprise organizations to adopt and share best digital technology practices

Responsibilities
The role is responsible for implementing and improvising the framework that consistently delivers high quality and highly reliable product to our customers.
Strategic planning and execution of all aspects of solution development including establishing product roadmap alignment between Product Management and Development organizations.
Role model technology-leadership by encouraging adoption of tools and solutions that solve for business at lower cost and in expedited manner.
Adopt Agile processes where applicable to advance rapid delivery of products and learn from user experiences. Foster a work environment that is innovative and expedited for client delivery and business goals.
Execute to success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation and efficient decision-making. Manage deliverables to scope, budget and time.
Manage talent that can work in high performing teams and deliver optimal results for the business. Develop leadership skills within the team members and drive success for the organization.
Communicate effectively across the technology organization to ensure that the team is completely aligned to the business objectives and can do the job effectively
Build strong inter-personal relationships with peers and other key stakeholders that can help smooth the execution.
Qualifications


Overall experience of 15+ years with several years in building customer experience solutions that span one or more areas spanning mobile, web, business process management, document management, and marketing automation.
Has experience with scaled systems and understands data and system integration; should also have a good understanding of security from a data and process perspective.
Has a customer-driven mindset and insatiable appetite for engineering excellence and drive for outcomes
Experience working very closely with software engineering and product development teams to deliver application and infrastructure solutions in a collaborative, innovative manner.
Strong leadership, team development, and change management skills
Proven ability to attract the best product development talent and built highly engaged teams that deliver stellar outcomes for the business.
Ability to coach and mentor software engineers and operations resources for personal and professional growth.
Ability to be an effective leader in a fast paced, pressure environment.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.
Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across organizations to optimize outcomes.
Must be able to interact and work with peers and leadership in the various departments within the company assisting in achieving all corporate goals and objectives.
Makes decisions based on facts, asking the right questions and weighing the pros & cons.
Extensive understanding and responsibility in project and program management principles, with explicit experience in the application of these principles to operational infrastructure environments.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate, and persuade, a wide range of audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Masters’ degree preferred.
