Responsible for the execution of Pan America Direct Attached External Branded Solutions DAS tactical product pricing roadmap, price positioning, RFQ’s, programs (push/pull), and business case ROI analysis for WDC’s Content Solutions Business. In addition, reviews and approves Pan America price forecast assumptions to be submitted to BU Finance.
Reporting directly to the Business Marketing leadership team, this position will support the DAS Planning process to develop tops down product specific volume & mix forecasts for the business segment, price models, financial modeling, pricing tools and models, price controls, and communication with Sales management and Regional Business Marketing teams and Sales regarding the same. Works collaboratively with sales and BU Business Marketing leadership to optimize financial performance and execute business strategies that meet or exceed company objectives. Works with the Market Analytics and Market Analysis teams with regards to competitive intelligence, and makes recommendations to BU team with regards to findings. Integrates price information with Business Operations tools/data. Domestic travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drives actions to execute Pan America Content Solutions (DAS) segment P & L
Perform business planning/modeling/segmentation analysis
Consolidate pricing with sales input from Pan America Sales Director(s) and channel team
Develop and implement pricing strategy. Track, analyze, report and respond to product mix, ASP, price declines, and seasonality
Drives tactical actions with regards to 13 week weekly forecast
Drives initiatives and specific actions to meet the financial performance objectives of the BU
Work with Sales and Branded operations to insure that demand and supply requirements are optimized to deliver the best financial result for Storage Solution segment
Develop regional channel pricing strategies with Marketing and Sales Directors
Manage forward price protection/program assumptions at channel/customer level
Provide 13-week model consolidation and analysis
Implement pricing/volume analysis tools
Develop and/maintain competitor pricing database
Prepare tools and templates used to correlate pricing actions with sales results
Present pricing information and strategy to Business Marketing leadership for pricing direction and approvals
Develop business segment weekly dashboard working with Manager of Analytics
Shipments, Revenue $, POS, Supply, product mix
Customer / channel P&L
Regional weekly tracking/performance for Storage Solution KPI’s
Overall Quarter-to-Date performance
Understand the competition, products, pricing, programs and services
Work closely with BU Marketing team to position products to compete successfully in the market

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or Marketing, or related fields or equivalent work experience
8+ years experience in finance and/or marketing
Computer and or storage industry experience working directly with customers and demonstrated skills working with cross-functional internal teams is required

Specific Knowledge/Skills
Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies, product and volume forecasting methodologies
Experience in a retail corporate environment is preferred
Ability to balance business objectives and financial objective of the business
Process oriented and ability to drive efficiencies and improvements in manual processes and/or drive automation initiatives
Thorough knowledge of financial modeling, corporate financial metrics
Thorough knowledge of sales and Channel marketing operations

Computer, Software, Tools, Equipment, and Machinery Skills
Expert MS Excel skills
Proficiently uses MS Word, MS PowerPoint, email, internet, intranet, phone, fax, copier and printer
