We are looking for a Director, Solution & Design Partner Program to lead our Channel Sales team. Reporting to our VP of Mid-Market and Channel Sales, the Director will oversee our Partner Program to grow BigCommerce’s partner network and drive revenue through Partner onboarding, education, engagement and enablement. This includes managing and mentoring a team of Channel Account Managers across the US and Australia. Ultimately, your insights and experience will be key to the performance of our Sales Organization as we look to rapidly accelerate our growth and, most importantly, the growth and success of our Partners.
What you will do:
Drive revenue through new partner acquisition and own success of team by meeting or exceeding all sales targets and performance metrics
Define, plan and execute a strategy that aligns with key revenue objectives for the Solution & Design Partner Program team
Lead the day to day operations of the team to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and scalability including building reporting and managing team metrics using SFDC
Lead, manage, motivate, and coach team members to maximize their individual potential, contributions and professional growth
Develop and maintain business relationships with key channel partners
Create effective processes, leveraging tools and resources to scale your businesses
Own process and strategy for sales process, tools, business strategy etc.
Develop a thorough understanding of both BigCommerce (i.e. products,services, and value proposition) and of the key attributes of the best BigCommerce Partners
Fully participate in team objectives, programs & initiatives and promote team communication and buy in
Build excellent working relationships with all key business leaders, colleagues and broader team
Who you are:
A high energy professional with a positive attitude and a deep desire to develop people and grow their careers in a supportive, yet accountable, work environment
Keen understanding of the SaaS model and ecommerce space combined with strong business and sales acumen
A sales leader with a minimum 7 years managing a team of sales professionals, including at least 3 years successfully managing a channel/partner business
Documented proof of successfully achieving team quotas and objectives
Experience selling to an SMB and Enterprise Market through a Partner/Channel model
Solid sales training skill and sales methodology
Able to develop and successfully execute S>M>A>R>T>E (excellence) sales plans Demonstrable sales or account management experience with proven closing abilities
Strong communication and reasoning skills
High level of organization and multitasking
Passion for client service and satisfaction
Ambitious, self-motivated, goal-oriented and extremely driven
Sound knowledge of digital media (SEO, SEM, Social, Display, etc.)
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and internet technologies (shopping carts, web hosting, email and online marketing tools) a BIG plus
