In this newly created position, the Director, Global Sales is responsible for advancing the company’s vision and strategic plan for our NIC Components Group.
You will develop and maintain senior level relationships with customers, negotiate comprehensive deals and develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
Responsibilities:
Create a strategic annual sales plan based on overall organization strategy and objectives.
Manage business operations and sales management
Lead, coach, and mentor management team to achieve goals.
Manage finances and indirectly monitor P&L.
Direct implementation and execution of sales procedures, policies and practices.
Ensure communications are coordinated and support sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with Marketing and Engineering management as well as the company President.
Conduct business and technology reviews with management and sales team to identify opportunities and trends
Recommend and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
Attract, retain and develop employees to have a robust talent pipeline.
Build, develop and manage a sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years Global Sales Experience in a highly matrixed organization.
Experience in the electronics industry with proven knowledge of passive components.
Successful track record establishing strategy and leading employees to get results.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, strong analytical and interpersonal skills including the ability to build influential relationships.
Results oriented with proven track record in sales performance.
Frequent travel, more than 50%.Travel is outside of the local area and includes international travel.
