The Director, Account Management, Publishing will report to the VP of Account Management and work cross functionally with Business Development, Client Services/Operations, Product Development and Marketing to effectively manage publisher partner business needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about mobile advertising, programmatic technology and emerging trends and has track record of deep, meaningful partnerships – ideally with a technical integration component. This role will be a mixture of internal project management with external client focus and is a great opportunity to manage integrations and grow rapidly with the company.
Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day relationships with platform app developers/content owners, to answer questions, set and manage expectations/account manage and grow relationships where applicable.
Lead growth of current display publisher partners and where appropriate, video publisher partners
Manage and build new sponsorship opportunities with the advise of EVP of Publishing and Brand Sales leadership with current and potential publisher partners
Launch and onboard new publishers – facilitation of end-to-end process – from introduction to live impressions– facilitation of SDK integration highly desired. Work with Operations and Engineering to resolve issues around integration and testing as well as partner with Client Services post-launch to ensure client success
Communicate with Trafficking team and the Publisher to resolve any misunderstandings, errors or technical issues.
Maintain accurate site lists and CRM database.
Work with the SVP to prioritize business development and prospecting based on the sales team’s needs /current and upcoming RFPs.
Provide the Sales team with accurate information about new and existing publishers (floor CPMs, comfort with Pitching, block list, etc).
Skill Set Required
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to quickly determine root cause and work internally in a rapidly changing structure to resolve for client.
Strong organizational skills working cross-functionally and making improvement recommendations for future product and integration iterations
Experience with long lead /technical mobile SDK integrations and SSPs as well as basic contract negotiation skills.
Experience with agency, publishing, or ad technology.
Technical comfort – must be able to speak with engineers and technical leads and translate to client audience.
Excellence with Excel, Power Point and Word.
Self –motivated, quick learner.
Familiarity with CRM tools.
Excellent communication and partner management skills.
5-7 years in a role with direct mobile publisher responsibility, general mobile industry experience required, direct experience with SDK integration and ad networks preferred as well as understanding of programmatic landscape and growth strategies.
Bachelor's required with MBA preferred.
