The IT Director- Enterprise Architecture will develop the strategy around Enterprise Architecture for GE Power in close collaboration with the CTO and P&L IT teams. . The IT Director – Enterprise Architecture will lead & deliver new technology innovations that solve complex business problems. The Leader will define the overall system landscape and set the strategy around transformation and automation of key business processes around the largest SAP ERP implementation within GE Power.
Essential Responsibilities
- Formulate the strategy and lead the development of Enterprise Architecture standards, tools and technology for GE Power in close collaboration with the COE and P&L IT teams
- Manage the introduction of new tools and technology as it relates to improving the Enterprise Architecture in areas of ERP platform, analytics, monitoring with strong focus on business outcomes and GE Power IT Security standards
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the existing system landscape and partner with the P&L IT teams to work towards the best in class enterprise standards systems landscape for GE Power
- Develop operating mechanisms to drive governance and adoption on the Enterprise Architecture standards, while prioritizing the business outcomes.
- Develop the middleware strategy for the SAP ERP implementation in GE Power. Establish the standards by collaborating with the P&L, Corporate and CTO IT teams. Partner with the ERP COE team members to execute on the middleware roadmap to align with the SAP ERP Release schedule.
- Develop a mobility strategy in close collaboration with the mobility COE and own the mobile platform delivery for the SAP ERP implementation within GE Power
- Manage the overall budget, full time GE resources and schedule planning for all the key programs and initiatives under Enterprise Architecture
- Manage and lead the team of Enterprise Architects, Project managers, consulting resources. Direct the team and monitor the progress against their deliverables. Develop the career path and training plan for the team to help develop their technical expertise
- Mentoring and coaching professional GE employees, interns and entry level leadership program members and providing them valuable advice and feedback to help them grow or achieve their goals
- Manage Communication with Senior Management on the progress of key IT initiatives and providing new ideas and technology direction to support the business growth
- Manage multiple stakeholders in the organization across the different functions and establish operating mechanisms to provide updates to the leadership
Qualifications/Requirements: ·Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology
- Experience managing and leading a team of employees
- Technical background with proven capability of influencing and excelling in a matrix organization
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture related pillars like ERP, middleware, PLM and/or mobile platforms
- Experience in large and complex enterprise technology ecosystems (ERPs, PLM)
- Proven experience of leading a team of technical architects to drive business outcomes
