Mirum Minneapolis is looking for a creative leader who can provide vision and inspiration to the team. The Executive Creative Director (ECD) is responsible for continuing to build and direct the team of talented designers and writers who consistently provide digital solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. The person in this role will also be expected to guide and mentor the creative team, constantly raising the bar on the work. In partnership with the rest of the Executive team, the ECD plays an essential role in business development, both guiding the work and participating in the pitch process. He/she will also partner with Strategy and Account teams to uncover and recommend solutions to achieve our clients’ business needs. The right person will have the confidence, passion and experience to sell their ideas and foster a culture of creativity within Mirum.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with various disciplines to lead clients and act as subject matter expert and provide thought leadership on all things digital creative
Partner with Business Development to identify new opportunities and provide active leadership and involvement in new business acquisition efforts
Lead the creative vision for new business presentations
Be a lead for assigned accounts and projects – own the ideation and creative execution
Partner with Account and Strategy teams to design and deliver the overall solution
Take responsibility and accountability for output quality – overall experience, visual design, content, and brand
Develop great relationships with our clients. Make sure they are happy, educated, informed and ready to work with us on future assignments
Be a contributor for assigned accounts and projects – provide your insights, expertise, ideas and solutions to account team
Mentor and lead staff to maintain consistent creative quality and award-winning work, establish clear career goals for staff
Grow and inspire creativity throughout the agency

Qualifications

10+ years of creative leadership experience managing large, diverse creative teams, preferably in an agency setting
Proven leadership skills with experience leading, growing and transforming creative teams
Proven ability to create and present ideas that expand client relationships
Ability to provide clear/objective feedback and criticism of creative work during development
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both internal and client-facing
Proven track record of conceiving, planning and executing creative work
Ability to work well under pressure, juggling multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
Strong knowledge of interaction design, use experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process
