The Director, Sales I is responsible for managing a sales team that identifies opportunities within specific chain customers or channels. Territories are regional or national based and management of relationships with other Coca-Cola bottling ownership groups is required. Maximizes profitable sales opportunities by thoroughly understanding the complexities of the channel or customer's business and building enduring relationships based on trust and integrity with that customer's senior management team.
Develops and successfully sells customer plans that include annual CMA's, strategic and tactical pricing plans and promotional plans that align with and support the customer's and the Coca-Cola systems business objectives and strategies.
1. Lead a team of sales employees; coaching, developing, appraising, recruiting according to CCR programs.
2. Develop a customized business plan addressing the critical needs of the customer while delivering Coke system budgeted profit and volume
3. Develop collaboratively with customer a price/package plan that generates desired results for both customer and Coke system
4. Conduct post promotional analysis measuring the success levels of promotions making any necessary changes to price/package plan
5. Communicate weekly with division sales management discussing promotional plans, display commitments and establishing volume goals
6. Sell-in and implement regional or national promotional strategies for the introduction of new brands and packages
7. Attend trade shows and host customer events that help align ourselves better with the customer
8. Work with other bottler ownership groups as required based on territory and customer
9. Work with Category Management to gain key market and customer insights

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a high school diploma

EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years in consumer goods industry
- Proven experience managing a team or leading projects through indirect employee management
- Minimum of 3 years in sales/marketing and major account management
- Experienced working with Neilsen and other syndicated data
- Experience in developing successful annual business plans and price/package for retail customers
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communications skills are a must
- Above average computer skills
- Working knowledge of CTM/CMA
- Experience using UFP and KAEPs
