Practice director to lead cyber security for the Federal Systems business unit, to steer Unisys solutions and services through FISMA/FedRAMP assessment and authorization process, and to win new business in DOD/AP, DHS, and Civilian Agencies. Based in Reston, Virginia, this person needs to possess technical expertise in cyber security and information assurance, knowledge of Government proposal process and regulations, and bring strong business, leadership, organizational and political skills.
A recognized expert in Federal Government security requirements and approaches well known to the Federal CIO/CISO community is an essential component in our ability to enhance customer and industry relationships, increase our presence, and grow our business. Ideal candidate has experience with FedRAMP process, knowledge of cyber security related to Government use of commercial cloud services, and understands the challenges of modern mission critical computing. Responsibilities include the following.
1. Security Program Management and Services Delivery – lead Federal Systems teams in security project planning and management, preparing for and conducting FISMA/FedRAMP assessment and authorization activities, and in delivering client-facing security solutions and services. This includes security advisory services, risk assessment and compliance testing, SDLC integration and security, compliance sourcing and contract support, security control implementation and integration, and other IT security operations. Coordinate Unisys participation in unclassified and classified forums for cyber security information sharing. Participate in billable engagements as appropriate and as requested by the verticals or other program professionals. Actively pursue opportunities to maintain a connection to customer programs and keep service delivery skillsets current. As assigned contribute to program delivery, e.g., new program startup, execution, mentoring of professional staff.
2. Business Development – actively participate in development of business opportunities working closely with the program and business development executives in each of the verticals (Civilian, DoD/Advanced Programs, DHS) to position Unisys for new or follow on work. Prepare marketing and sales material, collaborate with business development and sales professionals on the development of sales strategies, and participate in client facing meetings as requested. Lead the development of solutions featuring Unisys and partner technologies that are specific to active solicitations, contribute content for proposals as appropriate, ensure that capture managers have the resources and intellectual content they require from a security perspective. Support Unisys Global Security Solutions and our sales leadership in building a robust pipeline of security opportunities, or opportunities that have a significant security component. This will be accomplished by identifying leads, helping to qualify and track security opportunities within the Federal market; working with sales and delivery executives within the verticals to capture security opportunities they identify; working with the GWAC center to evaluate task orders released; and collaborating with industry and alliance partners on the identification of security opportunities.
3. Solutions Development and Management - work with other Unisys business units, clients, industry analysts and experts, marketing organizations, security organizations and associations, and academic or FFRDC organizations to ensure Unisys maintains a robust and relevant suite of solutions and services. Support definition of product and services “roadmap” that depicts the best estimate of what the Unisys solutions and capabilities will need to be comprised of one, three, and five years into the future. Responsible for evaluation of innovative technologies applicable to Federal clients and maintaining the documentation associated with our services including service descriptions, value propositions, marketing collateral, technical artifacts, and pricing. Maintain knowledge of the emerging products and services of companies that might be relevant to the creation of Unisys capabilities and manage relationships with these companies who will be suppliers, partners, subcontractors, or teammates on specific opportunities that Unisys is pursuing.
4. Thought Leadership and Mentoring - function as a thought leader in the Federal Government and global public sector security community. Monitor emerging trends and products and represent Unisys as a premier spokesperson in industry forums and conferences. Develop new and unique insights about emerging security initiatives that position Unisys as a leading innovator and provider of security services for the Federal Government. See to it that client facing organizations are aware of the Unisys security solutions and insights. Provide leadership to the rest of the security practitioners at Unisys; encourage and guide them to contribute to Unisys as a premier provider of security services. Work collaboratively to develop content for white papers, RFI responses, and other media that require thoughtful and compelling security content.
Required Experience:
This Unisys role requires a Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Sciences undergraduate degree, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and 15 years of experience within an information technology organization or post-graduate degree and 11 years of experience, CISSP or CISM certification, and suitability for national security clearance.
