Director Global Re-Engineering American Express Plantation

This Director role in the Global Servicing Network will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the delivery of breakthrough innovation and transformational initiatives that allow Global Servicing Network to deliver a best-in-class customer experience at the right margins. The key focus of this role is on improving the economics and efficiency of operational processes across Global Servicing Network globally, thus delivering upon reengineering targets.
Responsibilities include identifying and implementing new, innovative, and creative approaches aimed at improving efficiency of our Customer Fulfillment Network in the areas of demand management, productivity, capabilities, digital enablement, and E2E process management.

This role will also partner closely with the business to:
Create a long-term strategy and roadmaps
Lead cross-functional global projects aimed at improving customer experience and costs
Challenge the status quo and work with numerous stakeholders to get alignment and approval to implement operational change
A strong focus on process optimization, data analytics, and engineering is required, as well as superior relationship building, thought leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Required
Experience in Project Management, Business Management, Operations or similar background
Proven track record delivering results and exceeding aggressive targets
Strong thought leadership skills, coupled with excellent collaborative and influencing skills
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships across different organizations
Ability to focus on strategic objectives and initiatives while managing everyday business needs
Excellent written/oral communication skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Proven ability to lead teams with and without direct authority
Strong sense of personal accountability and demonstrated self starter
Superior people leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing talent and creating followership
Preferred
Degree in Engineering or related field
Six Sigma and/or Lean expertise
