This leadership position is responsible for driving effective reporting, forecasting and accountability processes for the global business units in the Laboratory Equipment Division to support the objective of accelerating profitable growth. Additionally the position is responsible for directing the FP&A function of the division, ensuring the proper tools and processes are in place to support business leaders and meet corporate reporting requirements.

o 3 Business Unit Finance Managers
o Division Finance Manager supporting central business intelligence
o Division FP&A Manager
• Lead efficient and effective global reporting, forecasting and accountability processes for the business units
• Be recognized as key decision-making business partner for each BU; evaluating and approving:
o Business opportunities
o New product development business cases
o Pricing strategies and product positioning
o Headcount and other investment proposals
o Mergers, acquisitions and other external partnerships
• Lead deep dive analytics into business challenges to support corrective action planning and strategic decision making
• Direct central LED business intelligence team driving meaningful analytics and reporting into the business – working closely with sales operations and commercial leadership
• Drive reporting, forecasting and accountability process for global Selling, Marketing and R&D spending
• Provide financial leadership for global R&D leadership
o Improve business case development to prioritize R&D budget across the division
o Enforce business case discipline within the stage gate processes
o Drive improved measurement of ROIC on our R&D spending
• Work with sales operations and strategic pricing to evaluate price/volume levers and the effectiveness of promotions
• Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan
o For organic revenue growth, ensuring alignment between business unit and commercial objectives and targets
o For global selling, marketing and R&D spending, ensuring affordability and prioritization of investment proposals
• Direct LED FP&A function led by FP&A Manager
