Primary Responsibilities
Channel Entry Strategies: Assess those channels in which we are nominally operating today, develop strategies for entering and winning within each channel. Build and sell business cases internally and lead execution.
Channel Management: Monitor and analyze usage of Retail offerings through existing channels, ideate strategies to increase adoption, solve for GTM inefficiencies, and generally optimize revenue in each channel.
Business Development: Create cost/revenue projections to develop economic models for key retail-specific partnerships, pitch & negotiate partnerships terms, closing deals with sources of data & assets or sales channels.
Partnership Management: Manage relationships with key retail-specific partners, building mutual value, leading efforts to optimize integration points, and optimizing all parts of the collaboration.
Product Strategy: Ideate product packaging/development necessary to optimize revenue within a channel, working with our Product Strategy, Product Management, and Development teams to deliver accordingly.
GTM Planning: Develop business plans, financial projections, differentiated positioning, streamlined scripts, appropriate training materials, and GTM roll-out plans to enable sales success for selling through each channel.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate cross-organizationally with each Digital Partner Management team responsible for relationships with enterprise-wide channels (Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc) to create success within each.
Skills & Qualifications

Strategy & Analytics: At least 5 years experience in a role related to the analysis of an industry and development of business models or tactics for success. Formal consulting experience is highly preferred.
Marketing Ecosystem Savvy: A solid understanding of the different marketing channels (digital and traditional), business frameworks, value offerings, key players, economics and etc.

Business Acumen: Ability to build and articulate business plans effectively, able to crunch numbers or present to a boardroom with a focus on revenue and market differentiation. Business degree is preferred.
Project Management: Ability to scope, prioritize, and manage numerous workstreams, creating and maintaining accountability of all involved parties to commit & deliver to specific deliverables & deadlines.
Relational Savvy: Works well in team efforts, building trust and respecting boundaries. Reads situational dynamics and responds appropriately. Influences rather than directs or dictates.
Mental Virtuosity: Critical thinking to separate signal from noise. Creative thinking to solve for roadblocks. Incredible ability absorb, process, and action upon massive amounts of information.

Versatility: A business person who thinks like a sales rep or product manager. Ideates creatively & executes scaleably to results. Speaks both marketing & tech. Can dominate spreadsheets or tell captivating stories.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
