The role of channel business information director requires extensive and exceptional knowledge of channel business models, programs, go-to-market and architecture to readily correlate and comprehend the relationship of corresponding key data and information factors necessary to embody, facilitate, and analyze results thereof.

Business information scope spans the holistic and detailed interrelationship between and across channel routes, go-to-market, programs, incentives, enablement, marketing, engagements, and transactions. Focus will be on building a longer term roadmap guiding current state to future state transition with gap analysis and optimization recommendations.
Primary stakeholders are the WPO leaders and staff responsible for WPO programs, incentives, routes-to-market, go-to-market, compliance, and acquisition integration. Secondary stakeholders include business leaders for partner enablement, marketing, and operations. The role will also partner with the Business Transformation and Automation (BTA) team in planning, creating, maintaining and executing a capability roadmap (includes people, process, data insights, technology and governance) aligned to the overall partner strategy and goals to ensure that the people, process, data insights/information, technology and governance needs of WPO are accurately captured and reflected for short, medium and long term execution.
Role success spans multiple related areas. The first and foremost the role demands an extensive in depth understanding of channel business, including programs, route segmentation, and go-to-market and incentive models. The next area necessitates experience and competence with the processes, workflows, and interrelationships across and between common channel functions and departments. The third success area requires a working knowledge of key information and data factors critical to drive channel business. Last area pertains to consistent demonstration of exceptional interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize work and lead channel business information initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
• Business mapping of channel business departments, functions, initiatives, processes, workflows and projects that includes the interrelationship across/between spanning channel strategy to sales transaction results
• Information and data mapping which directly correlates to the business mapping noted above and links to partner enablement, marketing, and operations
• Partner with the Business Transformation and Automation (BTA) team in planning, creating, maintaining and executing capability (includes people, process, data insights, technology and governance) roadmap aligned to the overall partner strategy and goals
• Publish gap analysis against channel business information current state to future state
• Provide business information guidance and recommendations to resolve gaps identified in gap analysis
• Provide general business information optimization guidance and recommendations to maximize leverage of information to drive channel business
• Work with partner enablement, marketing, and operations to incorporate common shared data and information needs as well as mapping of data passing to/from/with WPO by those teams
• Liaise with Business Transformation and Automation (BTA) team as well as Information Technology (IT) teams on the feasibility and implementation of the process, system and information model and roadmap for the worldwide partner organization along with realization of measureable business value / outcome and adoption of implemented changes
Job Requirements
• 10+ years experience in channels and/or sales process/programs and/or management
• 5+ years in leading or managing programs, process, sales, reporting, information professionals/teams
• 3+ years experience working with channels and/or sales information architecture and/or management
• 3+ years with sales business intelligence and/or systems
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organizational and relationship skills
• Travel requirement: 5-10%
• B.S./B.A./M.S/MBA degree or equivalent experience and/or business and technical training
