Job Description:
As a Director of Global Customer Fulfillment you will utilize strong management and analytical competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for fulfillment team members in three regional fulfillment teams (Americas, EMEA, APAC). You will manage a department responsible for driving contract manufacturing production plan alignment and commitments to order backlog scheduling and fulfillment including resolving issues to meet original order schedule dates. This includes managing extended lead-times, sales order allocation management and other exception processes to meet customer planned ship dates.
You will lead and facilitate the customer fulfillment processes and metrics, ensuring manufacturing commitments are synchronized to meet customer requirements as well as NetApp quarterly shipment commitments. This role must ensure customer fulfillment processes are consistent across geographical regions and will oversee the metrics to include on-time shipment and lead-time metrics meet company and customer targets. You will also drive continuous improvement projects to improve performance to these goals. You are responsible for setting requirements for advanced backlog management capabilities, for working with IT teams and business partners in developing process and tools for improved order fulfillment. You will drive issue resolution and have the responsibility for ensuring successful achievement of department goals.
Essential Functions:
• Work with Supply Chain manufacturing to gain manufacturing commitments to order requirements
• Identify sales or supply chain or performance disconnects requiring improvement or resolution
• Set targets for On-Time and Lead-Time performance. Publish performance to metrics to all stakeholders including executive level.
• Establish and ensure regional consistent processes and performance to global standards
• Identify key tactical disconnects requiring weekly discussion and action
• Manage all ongoing order scheduling process, continuous improvement, action plans and issue resolution and tracking; facilitate supply and commit meetings
• Orchestrate quarter end activities across the Global Customer Fulfillment teams, inclusive of participating in the revenue management meetings and forecasting Out of Quarter backlog that can be executed within the quarter. Responsible for in-quarter customer order fulfillment execution.
• Maintain relationship with relevant stakeholders to drive improved decision-making and accountability across the supply and fulfillment teams
Job Requirements • Ability to rapidly absorb and simplify quantitative and qualitative customer fulfillment data to facilitate cross-functional decision making; excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate supply chain expertise and teams through cross-functional decision-making processes
• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills with focus on customer-facing internal stakeholders
• Proven record of successfully driving organizational process change and improvement
• Relevant experience in key elements of customer fulfillment processes
• Self-starter with excellent organization skills
• Ability to drive stakeholder commitments and decision making for successful customer fulfillment
• Aptitude to define operational requirements and implement processes and systems to support those requirements
• Ability to manage complex situations, high stress quarter end requirements and trade-offs where customer requirements are involved.
Education and Experience • A minimum of 8 to12 years of experience in Operations, Finance or Supply Chain Operations; minimum 5 of years’ experience in a management role in a technology company
• BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Operations; MBA preferred
