Job Description:
Director of Eurosport Sales & Solutions will be responsible for representing Eurosport/Discovery Europe’s offerings with a specific emphasis on the Olympic, to clients based in the US.
Responsibilities:
1. In coordination with VP, develop relationships with TOP Olympic sponsors located in the US providing sales material, market information, metrics.
2. Develop and sell innovative creative solutions to Olympic sponsors.
3. Actively call on/develop strong relationships with clients and agencies to drive international revenue for Eurosport and Discovery Europe’s broadcast and digital assets.
4. Develop key US client targeting for Eurosport and Discovery Europe assets.
5. Manage business relationships to ensure clients’ needs and requirements are met in a timely manner.
6. Undertake accurate and timely reporting – stewardship.
7. Collaborate with US AdSales and DNI IAS Europe team to leverage/develop larger partnership opportunities where appropriate – maximize join sales relationships with relevant DCI networks.
Requirements:
* 10+ years sports media/ad sales experience specifically in Olympics selling (including an in-depth knowledge of the IOC regulations governing Olympic sponsorship).
* International ad sales knowledge and competent understanding of European sales and regulations.
* Contacts at global ad agencies and clients
* Self-starter
* Ability to establish strong and immediate relationships in various areas of Discovery and Eurosport.
* Willing to travel in the US as well as internationally for required meetings.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
* Strong oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to assess priorities and maintain composure and diplomacy at all times.
* Candidate must be articulate, detail-oriented, and have strong organizational and administrative management skills.
* Candidate must also demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
* Strong computer skills (e.g. Windows, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Calendar Creator, and PowerPoint.)
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
