Job Description:
As the Senior Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for leading a team that owns the product strategy, roadmap and manages the lifecycle for thePlatform's mpx product, the industry-leading Online Video Platform (OVP). mpx consists of a suite of video management, publishing and workflow orchestration services and solutions powering the needs of programmers, MVPDs, and OTT TV providers.
The Director of Product Management collaborates closely with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal and other executive stakeholders/disciplines, including other product leaders to ensure current and evolving customer needs are met. Yes, You have a black belt in interpersonal skills. Yes, you love working at the intersection of strategy, customer feedback, multiple teams and the market. Core Responsibilities
Serves as the "voice of the customer" ensuring all current and future product needs are met. Customer perspective will be informed through extensive direct collaboration with customers, partners and internal Sales teams.
Establishes overall product vision/strategy including defining the product roadmap and establishes overall product direction and development priorities. Develops business cases and associated ROI models for new product development initiatives and collaborates with Product Development to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into product/feature specifications.
Partners with Sales, Product Development and other key stakeholders elicit product requirements and other supporting product development documentation including user stories and methods & procedures. Manages customer feedback to ensure required changes are incorporated into the product roadmap. Proactively seeks continuous feature and process improvements.
Develops and maintains underlying cost and economic models for the platform and associated feature sets.
Owns product pricing strategy and collaborates with other Product owners to develop cohesive bundling and merchandising models.
Partners with Marketing to set overall go-to-market strategy and to author and develop required product marketing deliverables and collateral.
Supports execution of product launches and go-to-market activities.
Authors customer-facing product collateral including roadmaps, customer/user guides, and presentations; supports complex sales proposals.
Serves as a public point of contact for the service within the industry and ecosystem. Develops key relationships across the ecosystem and is a recognized thought leader; represents Comcast at key industry conferences and participates in relevant industry working groups.
Develops strategies for targeting new adjacent markets/customers.
Works directly with Engineering and Operations to support capacity planning, product/feature development, and implement operational support frameworks to optimize the customer experience.
Leads project-related meetings to obtain and communicate progress, accomplishments, near term tasks/deliverables, and issues. Versatile enough to pick up the ball and run with a task in absence of a resource as appropriate.
Supports the budget and resource forecasting process.
Partners with Finance to ensure product meets billing and invoicing requirements.
Interfaces directly with Legal to develop and maintain contract templates and mutually acceptable customer agreements.

Qualifications:

5-8 years related experience in online video services, ideally with an OVP, OTT video infrastructure provider, or other related service provider.
4 years hands on experience managing all phases of product lifecycle in an agile development environment.
4 years product development experience with large-scale customer-facing technology products.
Should have deep working knowledge of OTT video management, publishing and syndication, and other related video management and distribution services (e.g. acquisition, encoding, packaging, DRM, video/web content management, metadata management, publishing, authentication and entitlements, DAI, CDN, playout and analytics).
Proven expertise in and understanding of OTT commerce and monetization models (e.g. syndication, SVOD/AVOD/TVOD, TVEverywhere, and OTT Pay TV) and their associated technology stacks and instrumentation.
Proven expertise managing the end-to-end product lifecycle including ideation, definition, development, acceptance testing, and operations using an agile software development methodology like Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD, RAD, etc.
Experience working with UX creators to define customer experiences.
Proven ability to internalize and represent the "voice of the customer" throughout the product lifecycle and deliver on the defined end-to-end customer experience quickly grasps customer needs and understands dynamic new markets.
Broad set of general management skills; ability to work intuitively across all core business disciplines including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Product Development and Engineering & Operations.
Strong quantitative, analytical facility with deep expertise analyzing data to develop cost models, forecasting, organizing data sets and other spreadsheet-based data models to drive informed decisions.
Proven project management skills and ability to execute on complex initiatives and deliver on time, on budget and consistent with overriding strategies relies on a practical, deliberate approach to manage his or her work as well as others in a matrix environment.
Entrepreneurial self-starter with a natural inclination towards and strong ability to partner and collaborate; must be a team player with ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
Highly self-organized with proven ability to prioritize activities and manage deliverables to completion in a high-pressure environment. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Ability to manage deadlines, handle ambiguity, multi-task and quickly shift from one task to another.
Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of management.
Excellent facilitation, planning, and management skills. Strong reporting and follow-up skills.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 35%.
Education Level:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent. MBA preferred, extra points for huge successes and epic failures.
Field of Study: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology majors preferred
