Amazon Financial Intelligence Systems is looking for a strong engineering leader to lead a full-stack engineering organization. Amazon Financial Intelligence Systems provides custom built solutions to the Retail and Finance community within the Amazon Consumer Business worldwide. We process billions of rows and petabytes of data on a daily basis using our custom built high performance data processing engines. This is Big-Data taken to the next level! Data is served to our thousands of internal customers via custom built pivoted around stellar data retrieval performance and great user experiences.
Using Research and Data Scientists we build algorithms to automatically detect what humans would otherwise spend time looking for. These are critical for running our worldwide Consumer business effectively and at scale.

We are looking for a person who thrives on big challenges! A person who is not afraid of thinking big and challenging the status quo. As a leader of this organization, you will manage several disciplines including Software Development, User Experience, Program Management, Research and Data Scientists. You will work closely with senior leaders across Amazon’s Consumer business, including Retail, Finance and other technology teams.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
15+ years of industry relevant experience.
Proven track record of high-scale hiring and talent management on teams of multiple disciplines.
Ability to dive deep into both the technical and the associated business processes.
Demonstrated ability to hire and develop strong operations team members and leaders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated proven technical leadership.

5+ years managing managers.
5+ years managing organizations larger than 40 people while still remaining hands-on to the details.
5+ years directly (not dotted line) managing engineering and at least one other job family (such as program or product management).
5+ years interacting regularly and directly with senior executives.
Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment.
