The primary goals of this position will be to lead the following key activities:
• Establish Long Term Semiconductor Strategies across ASIC’s, Comm IC’s, Memory, FPGA, Processors and etc… in close collaboration with the Engineering and Business Units communities within Juniper ( including but not limited to Sourcing strategy, Supplier Selection, Technology Roadmap Alignment between Juniper and Suppliers in order to differentiate Juniper in performance and time to market ).
• Manages Partner relationships to provide best in class technology, cost, and support from key Juniper Partners that enables Juniper to deliver Product and Services excellence. Through collaboration with Juniper Product Groups, and Corporate Organizations (Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal) we manage supplier Technology, Quality, Cost, Responsiveness, and Delivery.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Communicate requirements, evaluation of supplier Performance and drive change as required to improve supplier performance
• Support Technology Sourcing: Collaborate with Component Engineering to Align Partner-Juniper roadmaps, diligent communication of technology needs, evaluate and select
• Semiconductor Cost Management: Negotiate for best in class pricing at First Release and on-going Q/Q cost reductions
• Responsiveness and Delivery: Ensure supplier provide support infrastructure to timely respond to Juniper Product Group and Juniper Corporate Organization needs.
• Assurance of Supply
Drive supply chain strategies that reduce lead times and provide flexibility
Negotiate high quality supply chain agreements with suppliers
End to end solution for managing EOL components
Manage supply escalations with suppliers
• Support Inventory Management and Recycling
Support Material Management to Drive utilization of excess and obsolete material
Inventory optimization – ensuring the right quantity of parts are in the right location or region
Responsible recycling of scrapped material
The Ideal Candidate is expected to have:
Highly Motivated Personality, Passion for Global Sourcing and Ambition to grow on his/hers career.
A minimum 10 years of Global Sourcing Experience on Semiconductors (including at least 5 years of leadership Experience).
Proven Track-Record of Exceeding Expectations and Results on Tier 1 Companies.
Electronic/Electrical Engineering Degree with solid background on Semiconductors.
MBA degree is a plus
