Job Description:
As a key member of the Coca-Cola Company Freestyle PMO organization, the Director – Program Management will have responsibility for leading a team of Program and Project management professionals to successfully contribute to the strategic goals and objectives of our clients/customers, Freestyle, and the Global PMO. This role will ensure that project team resources are creating and implementing the needed processes, operating models, designs, and technology to enable effective and efficient implementation of the program. The Director, Program Management will leverage best-in-class systems and processes for collaborative planning and execution.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully coaching, developing, and mentoring team members to deliver projects and programs on schedule and on budget with requirement features agreed to by the end customers. Freestyle programs are dynamic in nature and will require that the individual can manage a complex portfolio of projects, while delivering robust, yet efficient prioritization and change management practices.

Key Responsibilities
Leads team of Program and Project management professionals, including employee (Manager of People) and contracted resources.
Balances and directs shared resources across multiple projects and ensures timing and availability of resources are in place for project success. Obtains and plans for qualified resources in advance of project need.
Mentors team members in the development and execution of the strategy to design and deliver the Project within required cost, quality, feature, and timing specifications. Ensures all required stakeholders are included in the strategy. Compiles all relevant existing data to communicate the strategy. Designs and implements data gathering (rather than formal research) processes to close information gaps. Ensures Program and Project Managers develop and deliver comprehensive business cases, as needed.
Sets deliverables and creates contingency plans for the project plan. Translates concepts and insights into concrete programs. May oversee multiple, highly complex projects, across multiple initiatives with varying time horizons. Projects will have an impact far beyond their immediate objective, with required advanced critical path management.
Manages complex or broad variety/scope of programs/projects for completeness, compatibility, compliance with engineering principles and design needs and standards; resolves/approves major project/program changes. Develops, communicates and defends complex or novel programs/projects.
Identifies and resolves project/program changes. Develops, communicates and defends moderately complex to complex programs/projects. Ensures program/project stays within budget and/or schedule. Researches alternatives and designs or analyzes special details for non-standard items of work for programs/projects.
Determines program/project priorities, processes and procedures. Leverages project management tools and processes to lead and manage project teams; administers a stage-gated process including but not limited to: Project Charter; Project Plans; Project Sponsors; PMO creation; RACI Process; Status routines; Change and decision logs; Risk Management and Communications.
Stewards programs and projects with Sponsors and Stakeholders through the program lifecycle. Identifies and partners with other PMO Project / Program Managers to integrate and balance work streams to maximize use of resources. Builds strategic relationships with leaders of Innovation, Supply Chain, Marketing, Communications and Finance to ensure support and commitment to the Project.
Manages and stewards The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) relationships with key business partners as necessary (e.g. Internal Suppliers, 3rd Party Supply Partners, and other Partners as needed by the program).
Develop and share best practices for leadership of complex innovation programs within the system.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (with emphasis on engineering, computer science, business, or process engineering). Master’s degree in Engineering or advanced degree in Business preferred.

Related Work Experience
12+ years of experience as a program or project management experience, including a minimum of 7 years of experience leading program and project teams and developing people.
3+ years of experience with embedded design (hardware and software and mechanical systems).
5+ years of experience in the practice of business requirements solicitation and gathering, as part of the product and/or software development life cycle.
Consumer electronics or consumer appliances experience is strongly preferred.
Supplier engagement experience focused on sourcing processes, requirements dissemination, and performance standards management is preferred.
Knowledge of business partners (such as Customer, Bottler, Service Agent, and Supplier) in their context; industry trends and competitive pressures; strategies and plans; organizational structure; decision-making processes; and technology infrastructure and systems.
Knowledge of industry and food regulations is preferred
Proven operational experience in the beverage/food industry is preferred

Projects will have an impact far beyond their immediate objective and require advanced critical path management. Identifies risk and is accountable for delivering the finished equipment, software, etc. across the system.
Resource Planning: Manages shared resources across complete projects and ensures timing and availability of resources are in place for project success.
Comprehensiveness: Monitors, inspects, and/or manages medium to large complex programs/ projects for completeness, compatibility, compliance with engineering principles and design needs and standards. Monitors budgets and/or schedules.
Technical Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with all Technical Functions, Marketing, Suppliers, and Bottling partners.
Change Management: Ability to identify and resolve project/program changes. Develops, communicates, and defends moderately complex programs/projects. Ensures program/project stays within budget and/or schedule.
