In this role , you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive view of the market, our customers and driving thought leadership strategies that deliver against market and customer needs. You will focus on driving and executing on awareness, thought leadership, demand generation and sales enablement strategies to support the Salesforce1 Platform spanning events, campaigns, social media programs, references and case studies, and press and analyst relations. Successful candidates will have a passion for taking the complex and making it simple, and for marketing through compelling stories.

This role requires a strong technical acumen to partner closely with the Product Management organization to build demos, act as a product advocate and technology evangelist for marketing activities, translate product capabilities into compelling messaging and positioning, and develop customer facing materials that clearly articulate the value of our products.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with Product Management to understand the product strategy. Develop compelling messaging and positioning as well as creative go-to-market strategies. Build product launch plans that are fully synced with business & revenue goals and align with pipeline generation targets.
Develop innovative marketing strategies to gain VP and C-level mindshare in IT organizations.
Produce high fidelity externally facing content including webinars, data sheets, solution guides, demo videos and more for all funnel stages by partnering with the industry's leading creative team. Create compelling and easy to understand internally facing content including sales training, competitive positioning, FAQs, and cheat sheets.
Work with Sales to inspire, motivate and ultimately win flagship brands through the sales cycle.
Work closely with cross-functional marketing teams to drive the business & product marketing strategy. Track, measure and report against objectives.

Must Have Skills And Experience

Passion for cloud computing including Platform as a Service and Software as a Service and how cloud will revolutionize IT.
At least 5 years experience in product marketing (or equivalent), either on-premises or cloud.
7+ years experience in enterprise software with a deep understanding of IT organizations. Background in one or more technology and platform solutions such as mobility, application. development, databases, business intelligence or integration.
Ability to engage with and earn the respect of both deeply technical IT leaders and business leaders.
Stellar public speaking skills and ability to develop customer-facing presentations.
Ability to have a keen marketing eye and guide a creative process of content generation.
Knowledge and understanding of complex sales organizations.
Ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative cohesive presentations.
Bachelor's degree, technical degree strongly preferred.

BONUS SKILLS
Prior experience in Sales Engineering or Enterprise Architecture a plus.
Prior experience implementing enterprise software a plus.
Experience with Salesforce products and deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem
